My credit union doesn't show pending anything at all either. (never pending checks, debits, deposits.) I hate it cuz the next a.m. you wake up and it's like OH Surprise! or not until 4:30 or 7pm that night. It's quite aggravating.

My old local bank used to prepost my DD's by 6-8pm the night before. It was awesome. Wells Fargo doesn't post anything memo or otherwise early, really.

It sort of sucks.

Umm, I'm sure this topic has been discussed before - maybe even in this thread.

But I was under the impression that this money WAS NOT meant to be applied to monies owed to the IRS. It is FREE money and has nothing to do with you repaying the IRS if you owed money.

This came from an IRS agent. This was my second call because I do owe from 06 and called to find out if I qualified to receive one and about changing banking information. The first call I was told I wouldn't get it because I owed. A friend told me that was incorrect and that she confirmed diff with an agent. I then called again and got the answer my friend gave.

Can someone clear this up for me?

Thanks wink.gif

Unfortunately you were given bad info. If you owe back taxes they will apply this money to that debt. Same rules as for regular refunds.

Does it really make a difference when you receive the money as long as you receive it?

It's only a small amount of money, not going to change anybodies life. If you really need it this month chances are you will really need it next month and the month after and so on.

I'm not desparate for mine - but it's no lie that because I have to upgrade my electrical service at my house it would be useful rather than dipping from my savings.
