Bush made a statement yesterday stating that he was upping the inital payout date by a week, to help those who are being stung by the increase in food prices and gas.

On Friday they were reporting the checks going out early. I figured I would see my money sometime next week at the earliest.

Are the earlier payouts only for the first batch (first group of folks to get direct deposit based on the SSN)? Or do they push for all payments. I'm in the second batch to receive DD, originally scheduled for around May 9? Does this mean it will get pushed one week earlier, too?

I am in the 00-09 crowd! I can't wait for mine to post at ING, though I am half curious if they are going to keep it because I owed back taxes.

The IRS has cashed the check I sent them -- but I don't put it past them to not apply that check quickly enough. Some day I will get my rebate!

WaMu is odd. They sometimes credit my paycheck early too. Anyway this is what my account says. Sure beats the amount I got on my tax refund in Feb.

I use BoA and I see my deposit of $600.00 already.
It says pending, but BoA has cleared it as available to me.

It's weird you guys didn't get yours yet--my last 2 are much higher than your lot!

I wish I could get $600, I only qualify for $300. Seems like a person who makes less should get more than a person who makes more per year, but I guess the poor will stay poor lol. I'm a student so i will take whatever I can get

There is no tax on this rebate for next year!
Many think there is, but its not. Its free money.

BUT, we all pay for it at somepoint in someway
