2 Down on chexsystem

Hi everyone i have good news!! On 2/08/08 I sent a Chexsystem a dispute letter about 2 different BOA accounts. One for NSF the other for fraud and account abuse and it was DELETED. Do you think it's ok for me to open an account soon . all i have on my chexsystem report is one item in retail from wall_mart would that hurt my chances. Im thinking of the free checking at WAMU. I dont want to try at BOA since i had a problem there .

it was 2 years old. and today i got back my dispute in the retail and that to was gone my chexsystem file is clear....what eles should i check now... i still dont understand scan and tellecheck. will that stop me from opening a bank account ??

Not all banks use chexsystem, scan or telecheck. Most only subscribe to one. You can go in the bank, normally on the entrance door will be a sticker or a desk plaque (at the new accounts) thats states who they use. If they use Chex, you are already clear. Also, after so many years the negatives on their reports drop off, but not automatically. You must dispute most as you have already done.

How did you dispute? Did you do it by mail, fax, phone or online? If it's possible to do a dispute by fax can anyone post the fax number?

you should always dispute by certified letter but yes I suppose you could fax it in if you really wanted to (just save the confirm)
