This database will be all banks, similar to creditpulls. We've been discussing it, and I have some ideas re the info that should go into it, but I would like members to contribute any ideas - what information would be helpful to you? What is basic, and necessary, what would be nice to have but not absolutely necessary?

comments, ideas, and feedback appreciated.

I had a computer crash and lost all my note on this. I searched everywhere and can't find them. Are you guys interested? what fields do you want in the DB? This will work like creditpulls, so you have an updated and historical list of banks to check what CRA they pull, what other reports, do they make any offers if you apply for an account (like LOC or CC) we could also include rates and fees on deposit account, and any bonuses, like referral bonuses, CD rates, and whatever else you can find.

Want to pitch in with what you would like to see - not what you have, or any personal info about your accounts, just what you would like to see in a DB.

Also, this would be completely user-built from scratch.

I would love to be able to search based on what free stuff they offer with basic checking: free atm fees, free billpay etc.

Debit cards: do they have rewards program.

Business account services offered might be nice (I have wellsfargo and they have WellsTax and also a service to direct deposits for employees)

I am not sure if it complicates things to add separate out services for different kinds of accounts (business/personal/savings).

I would love to help but I can barely keep up with my own list and all the constant changes. Keeping a list updated and accurate is a ton of work and I am only looking at chexsystems issues. I can not imagine being able to keep a list accurate with all the things that you are mentioning, but if there is anything I can do to help, just let me know smile.gif

I would like to know if they offer secured cards. And if they report to CRA's. Would be good to know if you trying to rebuild your credit.

I know I'm late with this, but...

Do they use Chex for checking accounts, savings accounts, lines of credit, all three? (I thought for sure no one used Chex for savings accounts - I found i was wrong when a credit union wouldn't even accept a share deposit from me!)

Are they BK-friendly for joining? For checking? For lines of credit?

Don't know if that helps or not, breeze - i hope it does.

They're offering suggestions per the OP.

My suggestion - and I know I'll get fire for this...

Allow ANYONE to post. No minimum post requirements. No aging requirements. No other discrimination. ANYONE can post, and then have a moderator just go through and edit the faulty ones. Either that or require verification of each before making them live. But allow ANYONE to contribute from day one.

I've dealt with tons of banks and know their ins and outs very well - including having worked for a financial institution. I'd love to contribute, and I don't want to have to run into the same nonsense that I currently do with creditpulls. I'm human just like everyone else, and I'd like to help where I can. I can't help that I don't have much to actually post around here, and don't feel I should be discriminated against for it, sorry.
