I have little willpower, fine, ok, I admit it... with a $0AF and 0%6mos balance transfer... and oh how I love love love Vegas, I just did it. I wasn't going to... but I bookmarked it a few weeks back, and then applied about 50 minutes ago for the Vegas card.

Got the mystery message:

Thank you for applying. We'll need more time to review the information you provided for

your VEGAS.com MasterCard application.

There is no need to reapply and it may take up to 10 days to process your application.

We will send you an email upon review of your application. You can also visit our

website to check the status at: www.myapplicationstatus.com

Click HOME to return to Juniper's Homepage.

ETA: I did request a balance transfer in the application page... thinking that was the right thing to do

Then ran over to MyFico, just because i HAD to know what they denied me (assumed since it wasn't instant dang it) with , and my TU is what they pulled - with my HIGHEST SCORE EVER of 670.

My utilization is whacko because I moved higher interest cards to lower interest cards, have some at 3% and other at about 75%. Overall under 50, but I dare not do the math on a Friday.

My question is... does Juni ever do Instant Denials?

and...

Do they still send an email if it was a denial?

TIA :D I'm hoping to not get that dreaded "sufficient credit blah blah"

I was instantly denied the first time I ever applied for a Juniper backed card last year. Got quirky Juniper reasons but they do instant denials.

Edited to add: It was the Iceland Air card

I did the apple credit Juniper last year, denied immediately.

Then a few months ago they started sending me pre-approvals in the mail every week.

I lost the letters, but went to the apple website and applied again.

Instant approval for $490 at 90 days same as cash. Didn't use it. Checked the website...and kudos to them, I can set up an account even without having the number yet....and I was hoping something was amiss with the 90 days same as cash...but no, I have $500 cl.

I couldn't believe it. My total CL's are 40K, most of my cards are over 5K.

What did they hound me for, to get me a toy card in my hands? Can't their computers do the math, someone with well over 30K in available credit...why do they think I need this amount....maybe they know something about the economy? maybe it will be obvious in a few months....lol, what a dark thought.

Not sure if that's a good sign, or a bad sign, but I don't remember getting an email like that when I applied before:

11/2006: Barclays(Juniper) ....> INQ on TU for approval on Seamiles (can't remember if instant or not)

It's interesting that this email now directs you to Barclays homepage rather than the myapplicationstatus.com page. I received an email similar to your first one and I have no updates. Applied a week ago today.

Hopefully the extra time they are taking means it is an approval. Did they pull your CR yet?

RE: Barclays homepage instead of myapplicationstatus.com - GOOD catch! I will have to read through posts and see if that seems to have any significance.

Yes, they pulled my TU within 20 minutes of the online application. It could have been instantly, but I'm not sure. I purchased myFico 20 minutes after applying, and the INQ from "Barclays Bank Delaware" was already there.

I have never seen someone refer to checking Barclays homepage for an application status. They still have not pulled a credit report on me.

The only thread I've found so far is this one: http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=1968750 and it was a denial for sufficient credit with Juniper.

Have you tried to check your status using either website yet?

I have and I even called I believe it was the processing dept yesterday and they said they had no record of my application. I guess right now, my info for applying has been put into the system, but it has not been officially processed. The message I receive from both sites is:

Thank you for your recent application. We're in the process of reviewing the information you provided for your Frontier World MasterCard application.

Does Juniper/Barclays process applications on the weekends (other than instant approvals)?

I'd bet SG would know, but I don't. I'm searching to see if I can find it in a post though.. (yes, i'm trying to avoid laundry in this heat - so focusing on Juniper B) )

I am not sure if it helps, but my Carnival was an instant approval. My US Airways I got the 7-10 day message but checked the application status web page about a half hour after applying and it said approved.

I recently applied for the Carters card and got the 7-10 day message, then checked the application status a few minutes later and it said denied. So that's kinda an instant denial LOL!!

Good luck to you both!! B)

Thanks Mini - wish I would have applied online rather than the airport...those people pushing the apps told me that the offer they were offering was better than what was offered online.

It does let me check online, but it didn't pop up until yeterday. Their credit processing dept is closed for the weekend, so *if* I do get any updates, they won't come until Monday.

eeeehhhhhmmmmm ..... I just did my daily TU pull and the INQ from Barclays is GONE

I had 1 INQ on TU before i applied, then 2 after I applied, with it of course being Barclays, and now it's back down to 1 INQ

On the Alerts page it still shows:

What the heck? The fastest *b EVER? :offtopic:

That is the weirdest credit report incident I've ever seen on any of mine.

It was sure gone yesterday, and yep, 800county, back again today with the same INQ date as the original, which was the 10th. How bizarre! I even checked on myFico yesterday because it was so bizarre, and it was gone off there yesterday too! All back again today though. (nearly creepy)

Slight Update, since i'm AWAKE still being mad at LVNV again and again, this is one of "those" nights.

I checked the status last night (pre-midnight) because I couldn't take the suspense any more. Saw the following message:

"We're sorry, no applications received in the last 90 days match the information entered.

Please verify your Last Name, Last 4 digits of Social Security Number, Zip Code and Email Address as

entered at the time of application and try again or contact customer service at 1-877-523-0478."

Then I was sitting here mad about the Juniper CLD thread, because I had chosen Juniper/Barclay's as the ONE creditor of mine to go for 2 accounts with. (Before I was being very careful to get 1 of EACH, no doubles, going by the "don't put all your eggs in one basket" theory (thanks to it seems GEORGE for reminding me of that in his posts).)

So I'm STILL awake, and checked again this morning (1:something AM) for the heck of it, just to see the following message:

"Thank you for your recent application. We're in the process of reviewing the information you provided

for your VEGAS.com MasterCard application.

If nothing else, at least I know they didn't just auto-deny me  Good grief I dislike suspense.

Juniper apps have taken the full 10 BUSINESS days for approval. I got my first card almost 4 years ago, perfect history.

They are just slow.......

My last Juniper app took five business days for response. Glad it wasn't ten days. I hate waiting.

I'm calling Merrill this morning (applied last night). See, I hate waiting.

When I was waiting for the status of the Frontier card - that happened a couple of times. Keep trying and the status will pop up.
