OK....Help, please?

They're all reporting (somewhat) correct and positively, I'm just trying to make heads or tails of them.

From what I remember the original loan was taken out with Marine Midland (now HSBC). Anyone know who Education Financial Services is?

I know I consolidated with Nelnet, but it seems they re-consolidated with Nelnet?

Like I said, I'm not too worried. The Nelnet balance is higher than reality but I think there is just a delay in reporting since it's deferred. If it matters, I was in school from 8/97 - 5/01.

If this is just undergrad, I can't imagine what my report is going to look like when all my grad loans start to report. Eek!

Thanks!

They go on to show a new one each August (coinciding with new school year). On second thought, is it possible that this is one part of my student loans--unsubsidized Staffords maybe? Otherwise if they were transferred from HSBC/Marine Midland, wouldn;t they show a different opening date?

Here's just one of the HSBC notations:

There's also one for each August so that makes sense, but then Nelnet below is where I'm a little confused. It almost seems as if one of my undergrad loans was directly through Nelnet (see dates)?

Anyone know who Education Financial Services is?

It's now part of Nelnet.

Thanks, Cynic.

So is the fact that there's an EFS and Nelnet loan for each August a duplicate? I know there were two each year - Unsub and Sub Stafford. From reading this, it seems as if there were three?

Another bump since I just pulled this of NSLDS:

Type of Loan Loan Amount Loan Date

STAFFORD SUBSIDIZED $4,250 05/14/2007

STAFFORD UNSUBSIDIZED $5,000 05/14/2007

FFEL PLUS GRADUATE $7,245 05/14/2007

FFEL PLUS GRADUATE $20,000 05/08/2007

STAFFORD SUBSIDIZED $8,500 07/12/2006

STAFFORD UNSUBSIDIZED $10,000 07/12/2006

FFEL CONSOLIDATED $16,047 01/28/2003

STAFFORD UNSUBSIDIZED $5,500 08/01/2000

STAFFORD UNSUBSIDIZED $5,500 08/20/1999

STAFFORD UNSUBSIDIZED $3,500 07/30/1998

STAFFORD UNSUBSIDIZED $2,625 07/23/1997

Definitely appears as if there's some duplication on the credit report, or am I reading it wrong? From the above I see: unsub Stafford each fall (makes sense), consolidated UG loans and then my grad school loans. That makes far more sense than the credit report.

Any info?

Duplicate reporting of closed or transferred accounts that were never late? Who cares?

I'm not sure what the problem is.

Not a problem at all, in fact as I said in the first post:

"They're all reporting (somewhat) correct and positively, I'm just trying to make heads or tails of them.

[sNIP FOR RELEVANCE]

Like I said, I'm not too worried. "

I was just curious as to the breakdown because it seemed that there were a lot.

If only they could report as cleanly as NSLDS.

Thanks for your help.
