Double Ouch! Write that letter George!

And Sticky....glad I have my EX frozen too! It enables me to avoid these issues!

Best thing I did was freeze my EX.

or DO THEY GO TO TU or EQ?????????

Nobody yet has had the experience of just being
denied!!!! Some have had the experience of pulling

The CRAs do not like freezes so they do return your money
if they can. When they returned mine, I copied about 5
of my CC bills that were on my report and redacted any info
that they did not already have and sent it in again.

$20??

Cost is $10 and with EX un-freeze is free
and convenient. Thaw it for your choice of
length (2 days 3 days 7 days 30 days)all on
their web site.

I never have thawed mine but others have
said it worked very well.(good?)

A SECURITY FREEZE WON'T DO ANYTHING TO AMEX 365 F.A.C.O. WILL IT???

Does not affect the Trilegiant companies,
I still pull daily from CreditAlert.

I cannot pull from myFico for EX.

I believe others pull unhindered from TC.

Way to go GEORGE! This will be the best $20 you have ever spent. As 800 wrote, the CRA's DO NOT LIKE to be FROZEN! So make sure you provide ample proof of your current address. I even included copies of the address pages of several previous EX reports and payment coupons from CC statements.

The only negative I have experienced thus far, is that the freeze does effect TC! If you pull from TC you will not receive any info from EX, however you will still receive TC Alerts for EX and get the EX FAKO score (ignore FAKO!).

With EX, to "THAW" your freeze is very simple, simply log-in here:
https://www.experian...on.do?code=THAW

AMEX 365 F.A.C.O. IS ALL I HAVE

I DON'T DO 24+1 (TC) or any other F.A.C.O.

I DO WHEN I WANT

Unless you were going for a MORTGAGE I see no reason to "THAW"

(at least at this time)

My question is why would you even apply for a card with Juniper in the first place? Don't you have enough credit already? Why even bother with them?

LOL...apparently it's taboo to ask that question? I'm not sure why but Juniper seems to be a sub-prime company and I honestly don't know why anyone (not just George) would want it if they didn't need it.

Maybe you all could fill me in on the 'here we go again' part cause I have no clue what the issue is. :)

BTW, Juniper is not Juniper, it is actually Barclays Bank, since the recent acquisition, and Barclays bank is a highly established prime british bank seeking expansion in the US - at some point I expect to see CC issued with the Barclay logo..

Oh trust me, I know how to use the search button in fact I have been known to tell others to use it. But seriously, you think I should have known to actually use the keyword 'whymorecards?' LOL That's not even what I was asking.

I understand the idea of utilization and all...which is basically what that thread is about. That's not what I was asking. I was wanting George's opinion on the subject. Why would HE want another card, especially a sub-prime card when IIRC he has over 100k in available credit. Or is it 200k?

I have a few cards that I keep for utilization but my total available credit is much, much, much less than his...if I had his limits, I wouldn't be applying for Juniper, that's for sure. Or barclays or whatever they are called now.

They are considered sub-prime and in my opinion, that could look 'negative' on a report if someone was doing a manual review. Just like cap one, orchard, aspire, etc.
