rehab..............COMPLETED!!!

Finished my last rehab payment on April 3rd and the whole 13 loans equalling 58k were bought out on April 12th from ECMC by AES. AES now holds my loans and I have my first payment with them equalling 712.00 on May 15th. I immediately filled out their online application to consolidate which will make my payments more like 381.00 which is doable for me.

 

I am also in the process of buying a new townhome and the last condition on my approval is to show proof that ECMC is paid off and what the new payments will be.................and now I can do that!!!

 

ECMC seems reluctant to give me anything in writing stating they are a zero balance, although AES/Suntrust is sending me out a letter stating what the new payment is, so it should be sufficient. When will ECMC be updating the credit reports? What should I expect in this process? I was hoping to get the consolidation done before the first payment on the new loans hit, but I am going to make that payment no matter what to ensure it is all good and no baddies go on the bureaus.

They have 90 days to update your credit report.

 

What should I expect in this process? I was hoping to get the consolidation done before the first payment on the new loans hit, but I am going to make that payment no matter what to ensure it is all good and no baddies go on the bureaus.

 

Consolidations can take anywhere from 30-90 days. You can never predict exactly how long it will take.

Your collection costs have now been capitalized into your new rehabbed loan. They will not waive them. Pretty well the only way to waive collection costs is to settle on the account and they will only do that when you are in default.
