I have little sympathy for him. As the story reads, the student loans finally "caught" up with him in 2002. Sounds like another postal worker who didnt pay his loans. When I was working collections, government and postal workers were two groups we could not garnish....the DOE had to handle those and often they just shuffled the accounts.

 

Maybe if his attorneys had done some research, they would have discovered that if you are totally disabled, you can get your loans discharged under Total and Permanent Disablity.
