District of Columbia Lemon Law

 

If the manufacturer has attempted to repair the same defect 4 or more times (possibly one or more times for a serious safety defect), or if the vehicle has been out of service 30 or more cumulative days, after notification by the consumer within the first 18,000 miles or during the period of two years following the date of original delivery to the consumer, whichever is the earlier date, and the defect continues to exist then the consumer is entitled to file under the Automobile Consumer Protection Act.
