Well, I had Dv'd the CA in this med collection to see what they had to say, and get them to stop calling my house and work. I just received a handwritten note, on the CA's stationary stating that what I received along with the note was my validation. The paper I received with the handwritten note was a copy of a bill from the OC, an anesthesiologist, with a balance of .00. This has a line through it and beside it is handwritten $55.45. Reading further down the "itemized statement" it has a line with "Adj. COLL WRITE OFF Amount $52.80-" At the bottom it has another "PLEASE PAY THIS AMOUNT" AND IT LISTS .00, AGAIN WITH THE HANDWRITTEN $55.45. Should I accept this as validation? My wife and kids are in and out of the hospitals so I have no clue if this is one of their bills, or if it is, if it was paid. If I have to accept this as my only validation, do I now have to pay the CA since it was charged off? WHYCHAT, SUBPRIME, COTTERPIN, could any of you please respond to this for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

And if they had put $554.50 in place of the "crossed off" 0 balance would you pay that ALSO??

This is a GARBAGE dumpster diving CA who has picked up a WRITTTEN OFF balance and is trying to extort $$ from you.

Opt Out, go to my website and look for the HIPAA letter- DO NOT SEND IT!!
Linked in the HIPAA letter is a "medical account dispute letter" for you to send to the CRA's that this scam CA is reporting to.

IF, the account is verified by the CRA, and IF the amount is verified by an IDENTIFIED OC health care provider, THEN you pay THAT health care provider with the HIPAA letter insert "a".

IF it is deleted, then you send the CA a DV/cease and desist letter.

That's far from validation and I wouldn't pay them a red cent.

Dispute with the CRA's, if verified, send a second, more strongly worded DV to them.

I also have another CA that has sent "validation". I would love to post the image as I have scanned it, but I can't figure it out. I can E-mail it if anybody cares to see it. The basic gist of it is the same as the previous "validation" from the CA I started this post about. It is a computer printout that appears to be from the OC with an itemization of sorts, but at the bottom (after an actual balance, not just .00 this time) it lists a balance that was printed, and below that is handwritten "Insurance Pd. -$XXX.XX, Ins. Discount - $XXX.XX, Bal $XXX.XX" I suppose this isn't validation either? It looks kind of fishy, but not as bad as the one I posted about above from the other CA. Any input?

WhyChat you said in your medical dispute letter to add your social. Are you sure we should be handing that over?
Also, I have a valid CA they are Central Financial Control and they are apart of Tenet Healthcare. I DV'd them and they sent me an itemized list of charges. This was back in 2001 but the DOLA they have listed is 2002. Just curious if I have a chance to fight a collection agency associated with Tenet healthcare. They are like in house or something.
thanks
sc
