there's a big dislike of men with back hair....seems like a lot of people find it repulsing

when I try to do a search on it I only pull up gay fetish sites.....and no i'm not gay, I have a g/f and I've talked about her before on here

I'm only 21 so it's really hard for me....because if i was 40 I probably wouldn't care....but I don't look like most guys my age do....

I had more hair on my chest when i was 15 then most grown men do....then when i was 18 the back hair started.....the chest hair, the butt hair I could deal with that....but I couldn't deal with the back hair

so i started shaving it....I tried all the different stuff short of getting waxed professionally or laser treatment because it's too expensive....I always was horribly irritated every time whether shaving or removal creams

I got into the working out a lot at 18 so got into the whole body shaving thing...since then i've really stopped working out and become skinny again and I don't do the shaving anymore

I don't want to feel like an old man with hair on my back, but I guess I've gotten used to it

I'm italian so it goes with the territory.....my g/f doesn't mind it and likes it.....

what's so weird is i've seen guys with hairy arms and chest....but very very few with hairy backs, mine literally goes from my back to my chest, on my shoulders and everything, where it pokes out of my shirt....so it really make me self-conscious that people are constantly looking

I don't go swimming too often even tho i'm in florida, but when i do that's really hard for me to do with all the people around

i try to take that "i dont' give a f*ck whatever anybody else thinks" attitude, but I don't really believe that so it's tough

i'm lucky my g/f doesn't mind it.......every other girl i've ever dated despised it

not to many people talk about something like this so I'm wondering what people (men and women) think?

I'm one of the lucky people. As of yet, no back hair(I'm 23). If it really bothers you, I say have it waxed, thats my plan if it forms (I share the same nationality, so its pretty much inevitable(thank god my GF doesn't care) Or you could let it grow. Guys can get away with nearly anything, we aren't expected to be fashion junkies. If you're happy leave it. If not, change it until you are happy.

I don't have back hair, but I have hair on the rear portion of my shoulders and upper back, but its not bad. I have chest hair, which doesn't show through my shirt, but I hate it. Hopefully by year end it will be gone as I plan to use laser to have it gone forever.

Moral is, if you don't like it, remove it.

I am not the same ethnic backgroud as you as I am a mutt (black/hispanic) so I have good soft hair and never had a complaint from women. I don't like it and it has to go.

Get rid of it by either waxing or electrolysis, etc. Waxing might have an ouch factor the first time, but afterwards it is much, much easier. I have my eyebrows waxed and don't regret it.

In my family, my father was bald from his chin to his toes. He couldnt even grow facial hair. Myself, I have hair around my nipples (most men do) and about 6 or 7 hairs on my chest. I cant grow facial hair either so I save alot by not shaving. I do have hair at the base of my neck (or upper back I should say) about the size of my palm. I shave it once every few months and it never comes back except every few months.

Im also 32 yrs old.

My brother was cast for teen wolf without any make up. This mo fo is as hairy as they come. I think my mom cheated with a dark italian and has tried to pass him off as my real brother. He goes to my moms once a week for a trim, and not for his head. I dont think hairy men look bad, and Im not gay either but I have to admit, it does look funny on a young guy.

You could always let it grow for a few years, then braid it and hope they come out with the movie Predator 4. JMHO.

I have chest hair and I hate it. I shave it with clippers because shaving with a razor leaves me itching and then I get a rash. :cry2: I have back hair, but it's so light you can't really tell unless you catch it in the right light.....at least I hope. :cry2: My ex GF got me into shaving my chest and I can't let it grow after that. I thought about getting my back waxed, but I haven't done it yet. It's only like $35 depending on how hairy you are. I've heard of people getting waxed and the hair never grows back so maybe you'll get lucky?

You can get personal waxing kits at most beauty supply stores. You simply heat the stuff up in the microwave, apply to the hairy area (I strongly suggest using a set of clippers to make it short first), wait for the wax to cool and then have someone start pulling.

Granted, I have this for my eyebrows and I think the jar was about $12.00 or so. To do an entire back would be much pricier.

I tried one of those once.......never again. That was the most painful ridiculous experience I have ever been through. :cry2: I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but it wasn't pretty. :cry2:

I have very sensitive skin. I can't use most bar soaps, scented laundry detergents, many perfumes give me a rash. This stuff has never given me a problem.

Do a small patch test. Every woman that I have ever told about it, uses it.

How long does it last for? Is it like nair? I've used that stuff before. It's kinda a PITA, but it works.

I think it is better than nair. Nair is harsher.

This stuff is a poweder that is mixed with water. You mix as much as you need. A can lasts for a while and is pretty cheap.
