Equifax is reporting loans as collection account!

I filed an ivestigation with Equifax, that my student loans were never late, because it was always in deferment or forberance.

 

So now that investigation comes back as collection account on my student loans.

 

I called them and they told me they have to report it like this because of late payments on my loans. Sounds like BS to me.

 

They are now going to do another investigation, and i'm going to fax in the letters from direct loans that prove i have been granted deferment and or forberance.

 

I can't believe Equifax screwed me like this, i go from late payments to collection account.

Oh and is there a sample letter i can use? I didn't find one in the letter section.
