I want to know how do you guys do it! i just finished reading Blazzers story ... i really need help with my credit.... i have 4 negative showing and my credit score is 579... this 4 negative was for being 30 and 60 days late from a lender.... and all 4 of them were dated around 1999-2004. Right now all my credit information is current, however, i have a lot of credit cards...i'm assuming my score is low because of it.... can someone please help me... I'd very much appreciate it

God Bless you BLAZZER hope you come home soon!

I have been in Iraq now for about 8 months- slowly getting my scores up into the 600's. Many disputes and letters later, I applied for 4 credit cards in 2 days and got approved for all 4, thanks to this board. And I want to tell you guys, if i can doing sitting in the middle of the freaking desert, anybody can who puts their mind and time to it. My scores (all FAKO) since i have fraud alerts and cannot pull FICO0 are: EX-680, EQ-610, TU-640. Here are the cards:

name of institution :American Express Starwood
approved/denied:approved
score:641 Fako
credit limit: $2000
cra(s) pulled : TU

name of institution :MBNA Worldpoints
approved/denied :App
score :680
credit limit :$5000 B)
cra(s) pulled :EX (denied but called credit manager, reconsidered  )

name of institution :Patelco Credit Union Visa
approved/denied :app
score :680
credit limit :$1500
cra(s) pulled :EX

name of institution Providian PayPal Visa
approved/denied :app
score :680
credit limit :$500 :(
cra(s) pulled :EX

Like I said in the title, I did all this from Bagdad, Iraq. I want to thank everybody who has ever posted here for the good of the group, God knows ive read enough of them in the past 4 days- research is the key!

Anyway heres my story- happy hunting! :P

Congratulations. My son-law-was over there in Army intelligence. He applied for a card and was approved for a Chase product. He’s very happy also.

Well? I wouldn't be surprised if you're still there, but I hope you aren't.

I appreciate your intention to do right by your country, and applaud the sentiment.

If ever you feel that maybe this war wasn't all it was cracked up to be, I won't blame you, and would hear you without judgment.
If you're back home, know that I know it's hard, very hard, to readjust.
I applaud you mightily for trying.
You only wanted to do the right thing.
(Hugs)

And MAJOR congrats on what you've done for your credit, so many thousands of miles away!!!! Kudos!!!!

Aint this board amazing?

As a brother in arm, congrats! I understand the waiting game for the postal service in trying to get your credit corrected in another country. Good Luck with everything!
