I'm guessing about 20 points, depending on some other factors!

That's really a terrible, uninformed guess.

depending on the info contained in her cbr, she could see quite a healthy improvement and even more so <10%

regarding actual point increase, one guess is good as any sorta, since point gain will hinge on a formula we don't have full access to.

If her scores are sitting in the Mid 600 range with 97% Utilization it's pretty clear that her reports are pretty good aside from being maxed out. Bringing that down to 21% is close to the sweet spot. I'd venture to guess it'd bring her into the 700 range.

I agree with Mike. She should see a nice boost to her score going from maxed out to 20% util.

I emailed them yesterday and got this response this morning:

PLEASE CONTACT PENFED AT 1-800-247-5626 TO COMPLETE FORM 530C. ALSO,
TAX RETURNS RECEIVED ARE JOINT. MEMBER MUST ADD CO-BORROWER BEFORE
PROCEEDING WITH LOAN APPLICATION.

Dangit! Shouldn't have sent in those returns (married filing together). I can't really see why they need her too because she is a housewife I make all the $$.

Even if they approved for the $40k (or even $50k tongue.gif ) joint wouldn't look as good as individual no?
