I wanted to get some advice on my situation.

Background: Went to college and found out at the end of the last year that I attended that I had gotten more money in Fed loans then I was supposed to get as a dependent student the year before. That meant that I couldn't get any aid that year. I left school since the next year I would still be dependent and wouldn't be able to pay for tuition for the upcoming year or my back balance.

Fast forward to today: I am now considered independent and am eligble for more loans but I have to pay off my $10K back balance before I can be enrolled again at my former school. My catch-22 dilemma is that I need to be enrolled so that I can get the money to help pay off what I owe. I'm now in a payment plan with my school to pay off the back balance but it will take me forever to get the $10K. Are there any private loans that I could look at to help in this situation?

Unfortunately there are no private loans for this special type of situation. Is there a family member that can lend it to you?? Or cosign for you??

It's me again. Another question. Do you think it would be better for me to try and break up that $10K balance into like 2 parts and try to find maybe credit union loans or something?
