Will having my student loans reported help my credit score? I have 2 Sallie Mae's that were "nevr late" I pressed Sallie Mae to get update to TU and they agreed, will it help my score? without Sallie Mae I only have 1 CC open.

If it is a possitive tradeline I don't see why it wouldn't help. Sorry about you having to bump me...I ahve to admit that I have been spending time with my kids the last couple of days and I was slow to answering all of the posts.........oh the pressures of being on the boards!

In my case the sallie mae reporting has actually hurt my scores around 20 points or more even though I have never been late on a payment. The credit report says the reason is I "have too many personal finance accounts". When in school I thought it would be better to borrow a couple of thousand each semester instead of borrowing $12,000 at one time. After consolidating the loans I now have 6 Sallie Mae tradelines and that is holding my scores back so I don't want TU to start reporting SM again.
