Anyone that was supposed to receive DD and had their bank account information changed receive a paper check yet? Mine's not much, but still curious.

[/quote] I still don't know where my check is or if there is one out there with my name on it. I got one letter stating that we would be receiving a rebate, still waiting on the next one that says when I am supposed to get it. I get an error message on the IRS website, for an error that was caused by company that was supposed to prevent errors, all because that company pays their people just enough not to quit, so their people do just enough not to get fired.  So my people are the people that are supposed to keep those other people from hosing me over, but I still feel like I am getting hosed.  Are you sure you want my people to talk to your people, Lisa? 
I have an inferiority complex, its just not a very good one.

Chief - Don't your people know not to bite the hand that feeds them? LMAO
I'm picturing a bunch of clowns in the room when I call the IRS. Although I think they know more than they are saying. I see no point in the online status thing, as it generally hasn't worked for most people. I'm still taking notes on the #'s and dates though. It could be helpful. |

I was expecting a DD but yet I have nothing yet. I did owe and the state and fed cashed the checks already... Since I guess i'm getting a paper check, it sure would be nice to get the darn thing

I'm just anxious because we may be moving by the time our check gets cut. Which means I need to get our address changed as soon as I know. Between now and then, I'll be out of town for majority of the time and I'd hate for our check to just be sitting in the mailbox.

I asked a Special IRS Agent how they were processing these stupid checks? 'Well its difficult to explain" said Mrs. Brown. I say, "Well aside from SSN, if you filed early are they processing the check early?". At first she said yes, I rephrased the ? and she said no. Y'all might think I have nothing better to do. Or maybe Lisa has gone crazy (Thats possible too)? Since my major is accounting and I do taxes, this is good practice in mediating with the IRS. Again, I know nothing. |

I too have been waiting for a DD. Read on the IRS site today that if you did a rapid refund product to get your taxes Direct deposited quicker or claimed the 2006 payment you made to a tax preparer on your 2007 return that you will not get DD instead a paper check. Good thing I had no intentions of "stimulating the economy" by spending that money opting instead to putting into my savings account. well anyway because it seems that I fit the above two criteria mentioned and my SS# ends in 96 so I guess I will see a check in July....LOL

Yay - finally no error message! DH is 27 and we got the message that our check is to be issued 6/6 - it will be a nice vacation bonus if it comes before we leave on the 21st

I know people who have already received their money and they did not receive a letter saying they were getting a rebate, what is strange is that the same day they received the direct deposit they checked the irs website and they still were receiving the error message. |
