So we want to buy a house and I need to have at least a 620 to qualify for a loan according to our mortgage broker. She sent a copy of my report and I currently have a 563. I have thre medical collections within the past twelve months and she says if I just pay them she can do a quick rescore (or something like that) and I should be where I need to be. I gathered all my information to call the CA listed on my report the next morning. Before the sun came up I came accross Why Chat's program (Thank God). So I did not call anyone. Instead I typed the pre HIPPA letter to the CRA's. I will be mailing them tomorrow. I hope by getting these removed my score gets where I need it to be. I will keep you guys posted.

I have thre medical collections within the past twelve monthsWere the dates of service within the past year?? If so, you will NOT get a deletion with the initial dispute letter. You need to pay the OC health care providers with the HIPAA letter insert "a"

OR follow your mortgage broker's advice and pay the CAs. The HIPAA letter program is NOT suitable for immediate action for a mortgage finance. Make sure you opt out to avoid further problems:

You can always get the "paid" medical collections off your reports once you have your house.
