They confirmed the secured? Awesome! I was asking about that weeks ago and they said it was in discussion. I may ask one of their reps before I pull the trigger because there's an outside chance they'll let me go unsecured with the credit builder loan I have with them. EQ is my cleanest report so I'm hopeful. :good:

 

If they're happy for the new business that should work in my favor for the unsecured (I can dream right, :lol:)

Did the membership app last night with DW as joint. Got all the way through it with no problems. The last page showed "pending". I didn't hear anything from them today by phone or email....should I go ahead and fax copies of our DL's and SS cards to them since that sounds like what the procedure is??? I'm not sure who to address the fax to though?? I've seen a couple of names mentioned here so I'm assuming they are the membership folks who handle the new apps...

BTW I did join Trudirections as required for membership...:D

 

Any suggestions???

Well it's been 2 days and no word so I did the online chat with Belinda Russell. She asked me if I could fax in a DL and I told her no problem. I actually had copied mine and DW's DL, SS card and current bill to have it ready just in case. I faxed it around 3;30. Belinda said she would keep an eye out for my fax and get the account opened....

 

Waiting for my "welcome" email...........

Great minds think alike! yesterday at 3:53PM, I got the Email from Belinda Russell, asking me to fax in my ID and saying she will "be happy to provide me my member number once I do." I had it to her within an hour and a half. Working third shift has really thrown me off, so I just got the wherewithall to check - still no email/word. I was tempted to fax it in again, instead I sent an E-mail back just now, 5:26PM, saying "Please confirm receipt of my ID. I am looking forward to being a member. Thank you! - Joseph" (I have to walk 10 blocks to fax anything and my schedule/shift change is taking its toll on me pretty well.)

 

Jeff1964, what is this "Online chat" you speak of? Im in great suspense.

 

It sounds like both you and I are in as opposed to three other folks.......

I just signed up account online and it only shows my Money Market Savings. It only has $5.00. I didn't see my Think Big Checking. I called them to find out what happen to the the account. The customer service told me they don't know and they call me tomorrow. Again, they are very nice and polite. It is one of the best cu.

THis happened to me as well I talked to Belinda and she fixed it within 2 minutes of me being on the email chat all I had to do was log out and log back in and I saw my checking account it had to be a easy as radio button not being checked she told me but I can't remember how she put it. Now waiting on my transfer to show up from my local bank.

I had to call the next day as well. They refreshed something and both accounts showed up. It to another day and a half after that for my funding to show. The five bucks is from when you joined Tru Direction,

She couldn't fix it because it was after hours when I called. They already took out the funds from my bank already yesterday. I have to wait until tomorrow to see what happen.

I downloaded the iPhone app... just so you know, you have to sign up for mobile banking in order to use the app. I didn't see any mention of a link on the website, so when you try to use the app, you have to choose "New User" and then it takes you to the registration page in your browser.

 

I really am loving the features of this CU. I will definitely be using it for more than parking $1,000. It's a good ACH hub, too.

There's a radio button on the website home page. You should explore the site a bit if you are going to be a member, so you can get a feel for what they offer and how to use everything.

Seriously, they are the BEST customer service for banking I've ever dealt with. I was amazed by them which is why I recommended them so highly.

 

Now, I'm hoping that they show me some extra special elf love come May 20th, particularly since EQ is cleaner than it was when I opened the credit builder loan AND I've been ahead on payments on it. :wave:

On the Home Page in the upper right hand corner is a "Live Chat" button. I believe it is only available when the CU is actually open. It will tell you if it;s online or not also. I didn't hear anything this afternoon after my fax. I figured it was late in the day and Belinda probably didn't have time to finish up my membership. That's what I'm telling myself anyway....:grin:..I'm not worried about them pulling Chex so probably just busy with the influx of new apps for some reason....:wave:

 

 

I'll probably call tomorrow afternoon if I haven't heard anything......hopefully we both will get good news!!!!

OMG I am SOO NERVOUS! I am due to have a call from Belinda herself in a half hour! I re-faxed over my DL (actually my current, unexpired FLorida ID) at 10AM Prompt, then got on the online chat. It went VERY SMOOTHLY!

 

.. Well, I just missed the chance for a c/p. but basically "Bradley B" did say that he would put a note on her desk that I faxed over the requested info, I gave my phone # over the chat, and she is due to call me as soon as she gets out of a meeting.

I just talked to Belinda about the funds on both Big Think Checking and Money Market Savings She told me they have to wait for the funds cleared. It may take several days to show up. I also asked about EZ Loan Overdraft LOC and they pulled EQ.

My initial deposit STILL hasn't made its way into my account, but a transfer I initiated from Ally the day before yesterday is already there. Go figure. dntknw.gif

They took it out from my Discover Bank on April 17 and they haven't credited to my accounts yet. Belinda told me it might take several days to show up.

So the push moves a lot faster than the pull. Have you checked out the ACH capabilities and web interface? Much better than most credit unions. This one is a keeper, what with ACH hub, mobile banking/deposits and of course great rate on checking balance. I chose Senate for my everyday banking, but starting to regret that choice. ELFCU seems to be a better option.

I chose Alliant as ACH Hub and they're much faster than them. I used BofA as my primary because of my business. RBFCU is my secondary account. They're also very nice like elfcu. They also have very nice credit card program and it has no foreign transaction fee.
