Does generating soft pulls on pre quals (like HSBC, Discover, Capital One) help speed up this process? I'm using Smart Credit right now and have already seen 2 drop off, but I don't plan on keeping their service any longer than I have to.

Quick question I didnt think to ask. When we B*, are we bumping the inquiry, or the date? I have 6 inquiries on one date(auto loan), will they fall together, or separate?

It might - but you would have to know that they will soft TU. Once the soft, you would want to see if it shows up with a permissible purpose. When I shopped for auto insurance last year I got a handful of softs on TU. They all seemed to count when I tackled B* earlier this year.

That makes sense. All of my PP softs are from pullers or insurance companies.

I deleted the permissible purposes, but I have them listed in a word doc with the pulls. Should I count only those with a permissible purpose?

 

edit: If counting only permissible and allowing multiple pulls under the same puller and permissible purpose, I have 23 softs I guess. Is that the right way to go about it?

 

Yes, only count those with a permissible purpose. And yes that's how you would count them. Feel free to paste them here if you want someone else to take a look.

 

Will all inquiries with a 'permissible purpose' count? on mine with I see 5 different Permissible Purposes: WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION, CONSUMER REQUEST, CREDIT MONITORING, CREDIT TRANSACTION and INSURANCE UNDERWRITING.

 

Also, I see multiple credit karma pulls have the same date, I have 3 of them all dated the same (04/15/2012), will they count as one of 3?

I have been using smart credit premium for over 2 months now. last week I finally started to see some bumpage on TU, my # of inquiries went down from 10 to 5. However the past few days I have not seen any additional progress. What's wrong? these are the outstanding hard inquiries on my credit report:

I suspect that Smart credit premium is not actually pulling anything when I click "update now" .. I still have 12 "pulls" left before I have to reset the counter again with them.

 

I'm also checking through credit karma and not seeing any changes either. Separately I'm using USAA + MPM + Amex CS for EQ and have successfully bumped 17 inq off in the past 2 months.

I'm finally down to 0 today. The other day, I lost one and gained it back the next day, but today my last 2 are gone. I hope they're still gone when I check tomorrow.

Need some questions answered ASAP. Does anyone know if there are any softs on TU without the Permissible Purpose label that count towards B*? The number of softs to achieve B* is still 65 correct? This is really important to my dissertation. Any fellow BI members please feel free to PM me if you do not want to put any of the softs without PP label that count out there.

I need GPs for TU B*. Requirements for the study are you need to be achieving B* right now but still have some hard inquiries left. If you are very close to the magic number that would be helpful as well. Please PM me if you meet these requirements only

Muss, you can hit me up if you want but I'm just going to be starting in three days (waiting for SC trial period). So it will be a couple of months. Additionally, I seem to be often locked out of the TU BD.

No, not yet, hopefully soon, though...
