For MPM, it is not normal if they do not have your info after 2 business days, they should be able to give you your membership number at that point. It could mean that the sign up did not work. The Key Bank link should still be working. https://www.programenrollment.com/landingpages/KeyBank/767045/001/Order1.asp?ID=767045

I signed up for MPM in the link in the Original Post: https://www.programenrollment.com/landingpages/cdw/767364/001/order1.asp?ID=767364 , and it says BB&T instead of Key Bank. I e-mailed MPM and they don't have record of my account. I just called MPM at at 1-877-442-5773 and they confirmed I never signed up and that new membership IDs are created within 24 hours. The CSR stated he is not aware of any partner programs with Key Bank or BB&T but referred me to www.freescore.com. I asked if I could pull a new report daily, and he said it usually only updates once a month but I could log in daily. I am now thoroughly confused.

The BB&T MPM website has a toll free number 1-866-215-3473 which is different than the regular MPM one. Can't believe I gave them my credit card number. It'd be ironic if I was subject to identity theft or credit card fraud from a credit monitoring website!

Called MPM via the BB&T's toll free number 866-215-3473 and got to MPM. I guess they have multiple toll free numbers for the same CSRs. They couldn't find me in the system either. They also stated they only offer MPM to their partner banks that offer it to their members. I'm not a member of BB&T or KeyBank.

I'm trying the KeyBank link unless anyone has one that is known to work.

It looks like TU has changed a bit. Now inquiries do not disappear the day after a hard pull and reappear the third day. Instead they just stay put. Hopefully someone else can confirm this too.

:o PLEASE say it isn't so...

Yes, that is true. I noticed this change earlier this week!

One more nail in the coffin of the App Spree... :cry2:

It will be interesting to know if anything else has changed at TU. I'm guessing they may have started over from scratch to eliminate that feature kludge (because if it was easy to fix they would have fixed it long ago).

Newest Inquiry bumped off before the other two. The other two were for applying for a crap1 card twice. Got approved the second go round.

Anyways.. just goes to show if you get a new inquiry and then do some softs just after, you can bump the newest one off that same day, provided you were at the magic 85 as well Im assuming(I was)

Surely they must be at or close to zero by now!!..............................

I do not miss a day. So, every day into 2012, that will be a day i DPd USAA CCMP. :)

Wow this thread is long! I just read all 7 pages and I am still a little confused. What is C*? We have 9 inquires to get rid of, 3 are mortgage inquiries from our current mortgage (not sure what thats about, we have had the mortgage 7 years) so if I read correctly the mortgage inqs won't budge until the fall of date? 2 are set to fall off next month.

Unfortunately some mortgage inqs are "stuck." However, some have proved not to have been. It must be something about how the inqs are coded that is either not visible, or at least not obvious on a formatted report.

The same has been reported of some (but not all) auto loan inqs.

There is a bit to it, and not all is known, but the general idea is that if the EQ system senses we are naughty, it munches most of our soft inquiries once a month.

Checking backdoor, using more than one puller, using any EQ product, fooling with EQ at all maybe even disputing, all can put you on the block. No one knows for how long.

As you can imagine from the above paragraph, many who have been engaged in credit repair or other CB-based activities before they tried B* are probably already on the list.

If you think there's a chance that you may not be, and money is more important than time, use one non-EQ daily puller for at least three months and see if any hards are gone.

If time is more important than money, dive in with three or more pullers, but know that you will almost certainly make the list, and for how long, nobody knows. Could be forever.

More specifics like the dates we speculate it might happen are covered in this topic: http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=430145

The whole topic is probably pretty boring reading, a lot of people reporting what happened with them which got added to the known data. You could probably catch up perusing the last month or so, and Bob's latest spreadsheets there.

Hi all,

Sorry in advance - I know the answer I'm looking for is in this thread, but having read through it once I'm just having a hell of a time squeezing out ground truth.

Desperately need to up my TU score quick, currently have 9 hards (2 mortgage, very recent, which is fine). What products out there count for TU these days? And, anyone know of a max # and how fast you can get to B* level? Quick count from TU backdoor (will try and make the counter work for me tomorrow!) has me at 19 soft and 8 hard.

Only Smart Credit Premium from smartcredit.com. It's 30 dollars per month and should clear you in two.

I checked the EQ backdoor a couple weeks ago and I was at 77 softs since my last hard. I have been pulling daily since and should have been at 85 a week ago, but nothing has bumped off yet. I do not believe I am getting C*, I think my oldest hard on EQ is "stuck." My question is, how on earth can I know how many softs there are in between my oldest hard and my next oldest hard? If I dare check the EQ back door again and copy my softs into the counter and just input the date of my second oldest hard in the field where it says what is the date of your oldest hard, will that tell me what I need to know?

Are you counting every single soft? Not all softs count toward B*.

I had one question about accuracy of scores:

I just signed up for SC and it shows a score that is 40+ points lower than the three scores that I am shown through the service Credit Keeper (which is only a monthly pull). The score that I am shown now was something I achieved 5-6 months ago according to my original service.

My initial thought was just to use SC for B*, but now I am not sure which service is showing a more accurate score. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
