The info is good except for one crucial item -- I got a paydex with only one apparent creditor reporting. Go figure.

Clovis, How long have you been inc. and had D&B number?

Posted

Hello,

I followed the directions in the post on this forum to get an eupdate password so I could view my D&B, which I got many months ago. The man on the line told me that I am "unreported" and started to sell me so I thanked him and hung up.

I used the password, pulled up my "report" and this is what I got.

How do I get a real report?

Hello,

I am kind of new to the CB, but I am not new to BC. I have just been hit with a late from DNB for my Chevron card in which we sent a check to the company. I also have a late from Staples. How do I get these removed?

To elaborate more. My CPA mailed out two checks. The mail was returned to us and I had no idea. Thus the checks sat on her desk for about 30 to 45 days. I have taken care of the issue but the lates brought my score down to a 70 from a 80. Is there anything I can do to have them removed?

Call Chevron & Staples and explain the situation to them. If this is the first time you've ever been late they may be willing to remove the lates.

I agree, many times if you are a good client they will make a one time concession.

Just wanted to post about how I got my DUNS # and my paydex - report within 10 minutes for $42.00.

First I called them for the number and they tried to sell me the credit builder package for $329. The lady also told me that they didn't have any record of my company- which ofcourse I knew was not true. So I go to their website and I purchase my company's credit report using another company as a supplier. This was $39.99 plus $2 tax which beats paying $329 for the same info. From this purchased report, I got my DUNS number. I then called them again with the number and asked them for my Eupdate password. I got the same lady and this time she told me to use the first 6 of my DUNS number as the password. I logged in and updated my info and got my report with and my paydex...

Hello,

Quick question: Does a D&B report display (to creditors) that you're a 'home-based' bizz? I've been reading stickys and other threads for 2 months now.

1. Many HB Biz owners say they've had no issues w/ new LOC.

2. Others swear not having a seperate biz address will effect approval wit some creditors. I've looked into virtual offices/ POB's ..ect.. and popular opinion is... they're flagged and void, in most cases.

***On DNB's online application, it specifically asks if it's a "Home-Based" biz or not.

Any EXPERIENCED bloggers have any helpful insight???

FYI.. I have an EIN, Corp Cert., BofA acct, and a long list of creditors for Net30 / Revolving

.....just no DNB yet. I'll wait for your responses. I don't want to give false info on my app. but don't want to

shoot myself in the foot either.

Thanks Alots... Guys/Gals

ok - i tried calling dnb and telling them I wanted to register with ccr and i got nowhere. The rep gave me a fed dnb number to call which is nothing more than a recorded message telling you to go online and request a number. Does anyone have any clarification on this. I applied online last month for the number but I am still waiting for the imfamous email with the number. I already received staples acct and tried for shell fleet but they want the number. They said I could call back with it though. Any Ideas??

D&B is playing a bunch of games w/ alot of folks. I have an 80 Paydex and called to see why my status is still DS. They rep told me I needed to buy Credit Builder. I told him that didn't make a bit of sense as I already have 6 TL's reporting & an 80 Paydex. I also reminded him that a few weeks ago I purchased the $9.99 Unlimited Company Monitoring and if he was saying that I HAVE to purchase a product that cost a couple hundred dollars. Of course he couldn't provide me w/ a solid answer and told me that my status would be updated w/in 5-7 days and a rep would call me back to confirm. Yeah right.... I'll see & report back.

Just wanted to share my experience since I'm new to Business Credit.

4/20/2008 - Signed up on www.dnb.com for a DUNS number

4/21/2008 - Requested an EUpdate Password - got the "please call us" email

4/22/2008 - Called in, the rep (who was very nice) asked me if I knew that I just had a "reporting number"? Told him yes, and that I just wanted the password. He gave it to me without hesitation - 123456 (I had previously tried the first 6 digits of my DUNS number as I had read in another thread).

Total call time <1 minute.

same here called in and got my password in 40 seconds..however it was not the first 6 of the DUNS as on thread reported I think it is whatever that rep sets it as because he told me temp password was password and I logged in just great...now my question is where else can we get credit at I have a couple in my sig where else should I go...Office depot will NOT approve me!!

Unsure. I am new to business credit, so I have been busy reading the stickies. There are some suggestions in various threads. I have 0 business credit currently, so that is my next step. To figure out the answer to your question.

DnB will test your nerves!!!

I got my number in Oct of 2007

I got my eupdate password Oct 2007

Every now and then I pull eupdate to see if anything has reported-nothing

then I call Staples and ask them if they are reporting to dnb, they say yes 3 months ago.

Then I call Office Depot, they said yes they started reporting 3 months ago.

I try to get a net 30 with quill, they said no because there is nothing on my dnb file.

I call dnb (i know) and they said the have nothing on their files either because I did not pay the one time registration fee, so I am not registered. (whatever)

My question is, when I talked with the Staples woman she pulled my report from dnb and said something about a score. Do I just need to sit back and wait for more tradelines to report in order to actually be able to see it?

Yes against the advice of most on this board  ...I have purchased Credit builder in order to expediate building my DnB file. I already have a few local TL's I deal with and have added them to my file, but only 1 of my vendors have been contacted. Is there a thread about the requirements for TL's before DnB will accept them. I have read some postings mentioning that your vendor needs to be listed with DnB, but nothing more comprehensive than that.

Can someone help me with adding TL's to my DnB file. Is it true that my TL should not only have a DUNs #, but must have been listed with DnB for at least a year? Will the credit of your TL affect DnB from adding them to your vendor file?

Should I post this somewhere else, please help...

tks

One love... , Just a noob here to share my experience... applied for DnB number last year, got the e-mail, called back and said I was not interested in the Cr. Bul. program... Rep states that I'll get my number in 30 days. No dice....

Reapplied in Jan 08... received the e-mail... totally ignored it (had no idea of this site or the great wisdom contained here), received another e-mail in March with my DnB number and a little while later my temp password. Today I called to change my phone number (finally have a land line) and the agent says that no one can see my account until I buy the Cr.Bul program. I ask her does this apply even if I get my own T.Lines... she said yes and continued to explain the benefits blah blah blah.... and I keep asking her over and over again... are you sure that I "have" to get this program... she said yes. I faked that I am giving up and asked her to e-mail me all the information she has about this... she says sure and takes my e-mail information. I thank her and mention in passing that I will run this past my lawyer I am not sure how legit this is and suddenly she said all the information is in the website and guess what I am yet to get that e-mail...

Oh well she did say she changed the telephone number... off to Uline

I tried calling into Staples for their revolving account and they stated that they would need a copy of my Articles of Incorporation which I have but also stated that I would need a PG. Any suggestions on this? My credit is bad...

I want to start 2 more businesses under the same address and build credit with them.

Is this legal to put 3 businesses under one address!

Need to now if I can do that , people I talked to said I will get red flagged very quickly.

And I know people who done it also. Need to know how to go about doing it.
