creditscorecontrol Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 hey everyone -- improved my score previously using some paid agencies you all probably know -- and thats when I realized they were just sending letters for me. So decided to take matters into my own hands. Credit has improved dramatically and I'm just here to continue my education on credit, increasing my balances, choosing right cards, keeping my credit awesome etc. Quote
Slow Ride Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Hi Everyone! I have been lurking around this and several other forums since september of last year. I messed up my credit when I was about 19, I had unstable employment and made the mistake of signing up with both First Premier and Credit One Bank. I quit the job I had to finish my semester in college, then couldnt find a summer job (this was 2008) and had bad experiences with the above card issuers, closed them out and that experience left a bad after taste, so I avoided credit as much as possible for a while. In 2011 my boss convinced me to open a Roth IRA (I now work for an insurance company). Capital One promply sent me a pre-approved offer, and I have been rebuilding my credit since then. All the cards I currently have were pre-approved offers, but I am now interested in opening some better lines. (Rewards baby!) I spend so much time reading these boards it was time to join! Quote

creditkingpin Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I've been lurking this forum for a while and now I'm becoming active to remove some debt. I'm targeting about 14 bad account, although I may leave the older bad ones on because they are paid and over 4 years old. I started by sending a jack dispute to the CRA and a dispute CMRRR to 3 CAs so far I have 2 account ($500+ in alleged debt) removed (NCO, STELLAR, and CCS maybe)...maybe all, haven't been able to check transunion yet. I did those first because I considered them low hanging fruit. My biggest concern are Midland and Cavarly in total I allegedly owe about $1800 which is doable. I owe Cavalry allegedly $564 and Midland $757 both have already offered 60% settlements. Quote

Not very long ago I figured my credit was absolutely wrecked until the 7yr mark when things began to drop off. Feeling much better while I read these threads! Quote

ncs09 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Hello all, I have a question about collections on credit reports and how they are reporting... can I ask the question here? Quote
WhyMeFico Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Hello All....Been snooping around on CB since April. Had to force myself to cut back on note-taking/reading and finally just dive in and take action. This site is so imformative and addictive! Proud to say, I had no problems with deleting all old address from all 3 bureaus and even had 4 negative accounts(one being by biggest pain, a repo)completely removed from both TransUnion & Experian. Still waiting on Equifax results. Fingers crossed, all will be deleted also . Glad to be here & I look forward to learning as much as I can Quote
cherylc522 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Hello, my name is Cheryl and I just joined today. I found this site when i was searching for answers online for how to remove a debt or what options I have as far as a specific debt on my credit report goes. I am in the process of reading the good Dr's lessons, I will try not to ask too many questions before I get through all of that and hopefully can figure out where to start from there. Quote
Aki Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Hi Everyone! I'm Aki and happy to be here! I am determined to repair my credit and keep it good this time around. I've lurked a while and done quite a bit of reading, especially Psyche Docs training. I've learned quite a bit but I have not sent any letters off yet! Can anyone here tell me how to post my scores down at the bottom of my posts so they can be seen as they get higher. Thanks! I also have a question, but I am going to find the right forum on here to ask it! Take care! Ki Quote
