Wow. What kibbles and bits did you guys do? I went and filed because of this thread (figured it would take forever) and my return was deposited and cleared, and is also almost already spent.

I have no idea. There's nothing *weird* about our return. It's all super easy. :dntknw:

Filed on 2/7. Accepted immediately, and refund was supposed to be DD on 2/15. Ran into this thread, so I checked IRS website, it said "BY Feb 28." not ON, but BY. Whatever. FF to this morning, when I got bank email saying it was DD. SO I guess it was BY the 28th but still, NO idea what the holdup was, as we have a very simple return.

No matter. Now time to plan our anniversary trip to Vegas LOL.

Oh, I'd forgotten about this.

Just checked. Still no refund. Still no update on the IRS website.

The trip I realllllly wanted to take was this weekend, so I suppose I'm not going. Boo.

Luckily, I have a back up planned for next weekend...

Have you called them at all to see what the hold up was? I would've tried calling already with all the different messages you've gotten.

I woke up and found some extra cash today. It was like a fun surprise. Thanks, IRS.

We actually got something back from federal this year (not much but better then owing)I didn't send it in till 04-15-12 (I owed to state so was getting that saved up) yes I know I could have sent in federal sooner but life has just been crazy and since it was such a small amount I thought I would just do both at the same time.

I e-filed the federal (mailed state) anyway

It said a few weeks ago they received it and should be deposited on May 1st, well nothing so far and now it says

your return has been received and is being processed?

Anyway have where they had a date then it changed to this wording?

I have the same issue...mine was filed in early February though...

I did get an error that someone had already filed using my TIN though when I tried to e-file...we had several dates, but none materialized...and now for the past month or two it's read what you get

I'm one of those types that gets my W-2 in mid to late January and puts off filing until 4 days before the deadline. Mine is pretty simple and easy to do on my own. But my refund came about a week and a half ago and earlier than I expected. Here's the kicker for me, the state cut me a check stating that there was an error and I overpaid my state taxes. Any time I get some kind of letter from the state, I get nervous because I triple check my numbers.
