What is the difference, really, between the Citi Platinum Select and the Citi Diamond Preferred?

Good question, I'll get you the official answer tomorrow. The short answer is that with Diamond Preferred you get 24/7 access to personalized Diamond Preferred Preferred Concierge Service. I'll do some extra research though. I also encourage you to go to www.citicards.com and use the compare feature to do side-by-side comparison. Just for kicks, check out Citi Simplicity, as well. That product just launched recently and is getting some good buzz.

What is the difference, really, between the Citi Platinum Select and the Citi Diamond Preferred?

Roland99, here is some more detail for you, a little more robust than my answer yesterday. The key difference is that the Citi Diamond Preferred card gives customers access to Diamond Preferred Concierge Services. It provides 24/7 personalized service with almost everything: from booking trips, making restaurant reservations, to purchasing concert tickets. It comes in handy when you need extra help doing research and arrangements for things like special occasion dining, trip planning or entertainment ideas. We consistently receive good feedback for those who use the service.

I still encourage you to use the compare feature on www.citicards.com to look at any of our cards side-by-side. Stay in touch with me over the next few months as you start to make decisions about applying for a card....

Thx for your interest!

Thanks, Mike.

Would you know if that 21 months of 0% APR offer will be available for a while?

They can change at any time! But, I feel that many of our cards will continue to have strong balance transfer offers in the near future. Don't wait too long though.

Hi Mike,

2 questions for ya.

1) Is Citi going to consider allowing customers to see pending transactions in the near future?

2) Is the date of transaction that goes on statements the date when the transaction was first entered(pending), or when it is completed?

Thanks!

Hi Mike,

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with what I've gotten from Citi Cards here in Japan. I applied online for a Citi Gold Elite card and got approved for it with a 1 million yen ($13,000 USD) limit. The annual fee is only 3150 yen ($40 USD) and the card comes with unlimited airport lounge access as well as buyer's & travel insurance. I've never had a card this good back home (I'm from Canada). Seriously pleased with Citi Cards and Citibank at the moment.

Thanks!

1) I need to ask someone about this, I have not heard, but there's a lot of things I don't hear about

2) The date on your statement is the date that a transaction actually posts to your account.

Math joke from Anna, the bartender and civil engineering student: an infinite number of mathematicians walk into a bar. The first one tells the bartender he wants a beer. The second one says he wants half a beer. The third one says he wants a fourth of a beer. The bartender puts two beers on the bar and says "You guys need to learn your limits."

1) To close the loop on this, we are considering this in the future, it's hard to give a date at this point, but it is being discussed.
