Hey all, New to Credit Boards, but really love it already! have spent days now since and before I joined just reading everything! so excited about all the new things I am finding that I had never seen before! I actually do credit coaching professionally, however I am self taught, so it is wonderful to have a place where others are knowledgeable about this stuff, and where I can have the opportunity to share my knowledge as well! seems like there is not really a centralized standard for learning this stuff. its all trial by fire, so i am so glad to be a part of Credit Boards and I look forward to learning and hopefully sharing a little bit of what i know too =]

Hi all!Soooo happy I've found this place.I have a question and I don't know what to or how to search for it.I have a collection that was just reported to my credit reports this week and it is saying date opened as 4/2012. My question is: if this account went delinquent in 2010 with the OC is the date opened date supposed to be 2010 or 2012?

Collectors will report the date they got the account as date opened. That doesn't change the real date opened, though.

Oh ok. Thanks. So where is that date?

Hi All brand new to the forum my credit is pretty bad due to poor credit management when I turned 18. Im now 25 and a lot of my baddies have aged off but, there are more on there still. I am excited to repair and rebuild my credit with this wealth of information. Im determined to not be held back by my credit but set free!!!

This board has become my new addition(hopefully it will prove to be more productive than Bejeweled)! Who knew so much existed about credit. Thank you...I'm on the road!
