I would appreciate the email address as well. Has anyone had luck having an account that was IIB removed using this method?

So this did not work for me....I emailed them and did get a call back. The account I asked about was a lowly $300 limit card that got included in my bankruptcy. In my email I explained that I wanted to pay this off to make good and ask them to remove the tradeline from my credit report. The gentleman I talked to very kindly said that since it was included in bankruptcy they could not legally collect anything (I knew this but I asked anyway in my email just to make it look better) He also said that they couldn't remove the information from my credit report since it was accurate.

I think I saw this work for people that had it IIB, but I am too lazy to reread this thread. It was also never CO with chase so that might have been a reason why it didn't work. I'll have to dig in and fight to get this removed another way.:aggressive:

Oh yeah...I've looked over this thread but I'm still a little unclear on something. It seems as if they will not delete if it went into bankruptcy. But, it seems as if the state the account was in and whether or not the SOL was up does NOT matter. Does it matter if it was previously settled? And, how exactly should the email be worded?

Thanks again!!! I'm already starting to see those stagnant scores moving UP!! :yahoo:

I am going to try emailing them with the address that was included in the link a couple of pages back. I will post my results when I get them.

I hope that's the correct address. I'm considering doing the same but I'd like some guidance on how to word it since I settled the debt last year. Wondering if that bumps me out of qualification of this arrangement.

I sent a goodwill email this morning and just got a call back from the executive office. The lady was extremely nice and said she would look into it and give me a call back by the middle of the week. I am praying hard for a deletion!

I see five addresses there. Which one did you use?

I just told them the truth, what had happened that resulted in the account getting past due and originally charged off and that I'm really trying to get back on track and I want to take care of this and have it deleted because it's haunting me from moving forward with my life. I'd say my letter was about 3 paragraphs long.

How's this? It's my revision of a letter I found online last year. Please tell me if it's too much info to post here:

Dear Sir:

I am writing a letter about my experience with Chase Card Services that is a mixture of a grateful "thank-you" and a pressing request concerning my Chase credit card trade line in my credit files that I would like to have revised.

I received these credit cards, several years before my employer filed for bankruptcy and decreased my pay by cutting hours and laying me off for a period of time. At around the same point in time, one other credit card company lowered my credit limit to less than the balance on the card at that time. Then, they also increased my interest rate well above the extremely attractive rates we had previously enjoyed. This caused a chain reaction and my other credit card companies followed suit.

Later when I experienced the decrease in salary and while working to manage ALL of my other finances, I became disorganized with respect to, as you saw, making timely payments with Chase Card services. I fully recognize my responsibility with respect to payable accounts and have worked diligently to rehabilitate my relationship with Chase since that time, in that, I agreed to and fulfill a settlement agreement with Chase approximately one year ago. This is an opportunity you presented for which I am forever grateful.

To be honest, that year was a "wake-up" call for me regarding debt management and fiscal organization in general. Since then I believe I have learned the essential organizational and financial management principles I desperately needed at that point. Thankfully, responsible credit management is now reflected in my credit records which -- excluding that period of time in my life -- are excellent.

My employer has recently relocated me to the Wherever, CA area and we are about to shop for a mortgage, and it has come to my attention that the negative notations from Chase Card Services may preclude me from taking full advantage of the very lowest interest rates now available. Since those notations do not reflect my current credit status, I am requesting that you give me a second chance at a positive credit rating by revising or deleting those trade lines. Or if necessary, would there be a new settlement that could possibly allow us to come to such an agreement? My relocation consultant who works with my company suggested that I write you for a "goodwill adjustment." I sincerely hope that there is redemption at Chase, and I beg you for such consideration. Please let me know if any additional documentation would assist in reaching a positive outcome, and I thank you again for the time you have spent reading this letter.

Very hopefully yours,

Sweating it out. I did receive a call back from a really nice lady. She was encouraging but said they needed to verify my settlement with Chase. She said they had asked for information from their Settlement Department and would do anything and everything possible to help me out once verified.

Fingers still crossed and praying!!!

Oh wow! I recently had a 30 day late removed from my account with Chase. I used the email that was given to me on another board. I received a call from someone the next day but we played phone tag for a couple of days. She then sent me a letter in the mail stating that she would delete the 30 day from Feb 2012. Maybe about a week later it was deleted!

Not sure what is going on with them, well I did see that the CEO is in the press a lot lately so maybe that has something to do with it.

Now, if I can only get them to reopen my accounts. Hmm... I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

I suppose the only thing I am still wondering is for the folks who have been successful, how long did it take for the CRAs to update??

If someone has no current info on their report about Chase but they are pretty sure they are on their blacklist (Providian/Chase CO), could this method help someone solely get off the Chase blacklist? Thanks.
