anyone using a Fitbit? if so, we should start a CB group on the fitbit site!

yes, I am :)

is there a CB group? The site seems to lack a search for groups :(

No there isn't. And yes, it does. There's even a group dedicated to that. LOL!

If you want to start one, I'd be happy to join. Otherwise, I can start one later tonight.

I just joined fitbit what I need to know what is this place that MFP does not offer?

The data from your fitbit ;) Did you just join the site, or did you buy a fitbit? I  my fitbit. I 'ed my bodybugg, too, but not the $80/year subscription charges.

MFP is honestly better for tracking food, and the community is more active. Fitbit has badges, though ;)

Data motivates me, so for me, it's a tool I need to stay on plan. If I know, on average, that I burn X number of calories without adding exercise, then I can use that to plan out my day's intake. Or see how many miles on the treadmill it will take for me to work off that Snickers bar I splurged on.

I am a data person too. I like pretty graphs. My goal for the next week is to hit 10,000 by noon. I got to 10K today by about 10 am :)

How is everyone's nutrition/exercise plan going?

I cut out sugars, and most bad carbs starting last week. Along with soda, fried foods and sweets. Down 9 lbs as of this morning.

Congrats!

I just ponied back up to the treadmill on Monday in my annual weight loss run to the beach trip. However, this year I've gained a whooping 20Lbs. So. :glare: So. I've cut back on the home brewed beer, am trying to cut off my sweet tooth, and am getting in 3 miles a day on the treadmill. I haven't started losing yet but I know I can easily do 1-2lbs a week. I just need to stay on this path AFTER the beach trip. Lifestyle change and all that versus Spring rush to loose everything I gained during the winter from being lazy.

I hope it's going well, because I'm less than a month out from marathon #1. :swoon:

Freaking squirrels. :glare:

Eta: I didn't really have any weight loss goals, just running ones, and goal #1 met, I took 20+ minutes off my half marathon time. :D

TY.

Trying to cut of the sweet tooth is a pita. I have been having Carb Master yogurt from Kroger, seems to stave it off at night. I used to like a bowl of cereal at night for desert, not good.

It's better than an entire bowl of ice cream, which is what I was eating every night.

Anyways down 2Lbs this week. Being sick+ Aunt Flo has it's side benefits I guess.

okay...I know there are a lot of fads out there, but what supplements are people taking? I take a multivitamin and 10,000 Vit D3 owing to a very low Vit D value in my recent blood work.

talk to me.

green coffee extract?

raspberry keotones?

termite mound powder?

(I made the last one up)

Just the multiVitamin.. used to take D3 for more than 8 months and my blood work says I have it plenty.

LOL.

I am taking a multi vit, I get a B12 plus shot every week, Coral Calcium plus D-3, and the Herbalife Cell Activator.

I am getting ready to add in an Omega Fish supplement, just not sure which one yet.

Have been drinking green tea like crazy.

That's pretty much it for now.

Cut out almost all sugars and white starches (I allow myself a Breyer's Low Carb Ice cream every now and then), and I cannot give up my Coffeemate French Vanilla in the AM, though in small amounts.

My quest is some for weight loss, but more for overall energy, and well being. Not in a huge rush, it will come with time.

I don't supplement with anything. Just eat a balanced diet, most of the time. :dntknw:

Snork and I killed our 5k pr's this weekend. Almost 10 minutes faster than we did two years ago

That is awesome! Congratulations! I wish I could like running, but it terrifies me.

I actually walk versus running. Less impact on the knees and ankles I wore out in high school (track).

I am awfully proud of Giraffy and Snorkadant, they've pretty turned into bad azzes.

The last two weeks have been weeks of Suck. Worked out last Monday - came down with some kind of sinus-y thing that laid me out, and then after working in the yard Saturday, have been down with a back-something. I suppose I burned a lot of calories doing yard work...and at least as soon as this rain clears up I can add pool time to my repertoire, but I am feeling pretty darn pissy. My Abs look nothing like Nos's yet . -_-

do you think the B12 shots help?

Tons of green tea, double up on my B's (shots are even better), 12 caps of omega 3,6 and 9's.. Lot's of coffee and an aspirin before my AM fasted work.

Post workout lot's of protein and waxy maze and sip on BCAA's drinks during the day. Anything hurt ice it immediately, ibuprofen and keep trucking.

Feeling peppy today

5k run 23 minutes

2k swim with fins and paddles, 250 underwater. Every ten laps got 20 muscle ups, 25 pushup's and finned flutter kicks.

The 12 eggs and an avocado for breakfast

I'm thinking a ruck/hike tonight.. I think 50lbs of bricks and a 6 pack need to go up a hill
