I did a Search on the Chase website for the Palladium Card a few different ways this morning.

It came up with 386 Palladium answers. Everyone I clicked on took me to the search "Find the Right Credit Card for You", on everyone I clicked.

It's not advertised in that section anymore. The last time I saw it there was Friday, April 19, 2013.

Earlier last year I had expected to app for the Pd card. As I've come to use my Amex without encountering any limit issues my interest in the Pd card has declined. Also the flexibility to set each AU's limits and get statements broken down by AUs became quite important and the Pd doesn't offer that.

According to Wiki, they no longer offer the Pd card to Chase private client banking. If that's the case then the Pd card is out for me even if they offered the AU flexibility of Amex in the future.

Initially the card was only targeted at elite Private Banking clients but in 2011 the card was opened up to Chase Private Client customers and a few others who met the income and credit requirements but lacked the high assets originally required for the card.[5][6] However, this has since changed and a private banking relationship is once again required to apply for the card.

Interesting turn of events. I wonder if they will close my account since I neither have CPC or CPB.

Also I wonder how they will respond when I ask to have my AF waived next month.

Tried 2 times unsuccessfully to get my AF waived. Makes sense since I didn't put that much spend on it. Charged about $40K this past year. Get much more points from my other CCs. Now i'm debating whether to pay the annual fee with points. I guess I'm hoping that Chase will offer more with this card in the near future.

CPC folks can still qualify for the card. WIKI is wrong.

what's it take to be a CPC client?

$250K in deposit or investable assets.

several reports on other boards of Chase BIZ cards starting to show up on consumer credit reports for the big four. I hope Palladium is not part of this waive.

According to a Chase banker friend Select and Palladium will continue not to report.

Can anyone please PM me with the link to the Palladium application? The old link to the dropbox is invalid.

IIRC Chase/JPM Pd card is not available anymore by filling out the app. You need to go through a Chase Private Client CSR..

Thank you, Cashnocredit, for the response and I do know for a fact that you must have a relationship with Chase (250k or more), but I would love to give it a shot of faxing the app. It's better to try and fail than fail to try, n'cest pas?

If you happen to have the pdf file saved, the honor would be entirely mine, if you could hook me up. Thanking you in advance.

Sadly, I don't have the app and never downloaded it. My local Chase branch converted to a "Private Client Branch" sometime earlier this year. I'm not sure when exactly. Earlier this year I was there doing business, the doors were locked, and a guard had to let me out! No idea why but a BofA branch a few blocks away had just been robbed and maybe they were taking precautions. Last time I was there they tried to up sell me on CPC but I'm perfectly happy with things as they are. Amex has treated me well and the way they do AUs makes dealing with employee expenses easy. My Amex is personal but one of the AUs is an employee and she uses it only for biz while the other is for my gf to use for our household expenses.

Good luck to you though. It could be a great card if you can take advantage of it's perks.

I recently got pre-approved for the Amex Platinum card, and as you know the fees for that is $495 and its comparable as the Pd's fees, except I would imagine Pd's is as much prestigious as Amex's centurion card.

Not a single Chase branch here in my town is not lodged with their own CPC office, and I swear those commission suckers are like tigers waiting to be tamed. I am too, content with where I'm with my investment, on a much smaller scale of what the Pd is required for...

I'm of the opinion that the prestige factor in cards is 99% created by marketing. It might be of some value were it to result in better service when using it but I haven't run across any merchants that care as far as I can tell. They basically just want the charge to be approved. There are specific features of Amex charge cards that I do value. The principal one is that AUs each have their own card number so bills break out each AU. Also, I can set notification limits and monthly spend limits on each one. Very handy. The plat is still somewhat useful at airports and especially international travel though I believe the Pd card may now significantly exceed the Pd bennies there. Also, Amex has proven much more flexible for my spending needs than I had expected. Charges I anticipated would require bank wires went through without issue or even telephone calls. It's become my goto card for larger charges. My ideal card is one I don't have to think about and can just use when I need it.

As for the Centurion card, I don't spend enough to qualify but if I did I doubt I would often carry it. I want to get on with things and not have people asking about my credit cards.
