mbl280, first off, thanks for your service to our country. Secondly, congrats on getting the max payout. Finally, stand strong when you get that tax bill next April. The fact that these payouts are 1099-able is like getting a backhanded compliment.

I got 400 today... But for me I am wondering how to use this in getting BOA to remove the foreclosure from the CRA's?

With all the mistakes and problems to begin with, and such a crapy payout I would be happy if they just deleted the TL.

Has anyone had success using the independent foreclosure review in getting the foreclosure removed?

I got my check a few weeks ago for $6000. Better than a kick in the pants, that's for sure. I was hoping for more considering all I went through, but seeing the amounts of others, I am definitely happy with what I received.

Got a check yesterday from Rust for $300.00. BOA.

I wish I knew what BOA did wrong so I could try to hammer them for it. We got modified while the foreclosure lawsuit was pending, but all of the past due payments got rolled into the principal. We are way underwater now, though the interest rate is lower.

What a crock! Litton did the ol' 3 payments and no modification to me before I lost my home. I got a whopping $300.

Has anyone thought about pursuing small claims against the banks since the payments could be considered an admission of guilt? I would have been ok with the 3900 I should have gotten to help me get my finances squared away.

I might try it since no lawyers can be present and I have my documents. I think I can spare $25 of the 300 they sent me. ......Oh the irony if I were to win.....using their money to sue them

I would love to be able to just have the tradeline deleted. Has anyone tried to go through bofa with a letter? I previously worked for bofa (they wouldn't even loan mod me and I was an employee) and I don't remember them having a "goodwill" department but they did have an "escalations" department. Wondering what would be the best way to go about it. Any other thoughts from anyone else?
