ACK!

I forgot that Citi reports a $1.00 balance as $0.00

Lost 12 points due to NO balances reporting.

Thank you for the confirmation, BobWang. I've read that you should allow a balance to report on at least one card every month in order to show you can manage debt, but was never sure if that was a fact or myth.

Menta, I'm just using this thread as a chronicle of my credit scores.

This way, people who are interested, can see how different factors affect my scores.

Hey Bob how do you go about setting this up for yourself? (not necessarily needed right away but next time I apply for credit wouldn't mine any little bump I could get) and do you find it easier with any creditors than others to do this?

Every card that offers it, I set up for AutoPay of full statement balance.

I also push payments from Alliant to cover any charges that might sneak in before statement close.

PenFed is nice in that I can over-push to my PenFed Visa directly from my PenFed checking account.

For cards with frequent activity, I routinely push $500.00 - $1,000.00 over balance, including pending charges.

Right, I've got PIF setup for every card I can (everything but my Walmart Discover which is nice)

But other than that is there any way to tell when statements cut so I'd know when I could charge something and have it hit between my payment and the reporting?

Thanks for that heads up though, I'll probably do it with my PenFed when I do since that seems the best way

bob, how often do you open a new account?

I used to open at least an account a month.

But, after losing $200k due to AA from my last app spree, I've reformed. :P

Last new account was Wally Discover in July, 2011.

That bumped up my available credit by $1.3k, and I didn't lose anything! :D

And myfico scorewatch gives you a real EQ FICO score each time it changes just for the monthly fee? or are you paying for those FICO scores each time you post one?

Both myFICO & Equifax's Score Watch will alert you to Equifax FICO score changes.

The alert may be delayed a day or two from the actual score change.
