This question is for anyone who can answer, but I think answers will help everyone.....I have a C corp, with an 80 Paydex score, I have 50K in merchant credit, but I am having a hard time getting Bank lines of credit because of a IRS Tax lien against my Equifax, Experian and Transunion accounts. How can I get a line of credit and from what bank and without a PG? Everyone asks for to look at my credit report, but there has to be a bank that just wants my business. Can anyone help? :-(

Just called DnB.

First csr I talked to, Judith, said that the builder was $499 and that you can't report credit cards, utilities or bank payments to your file. I asked if the price had gone up because I had thought it was only $399, she said nope it was always $499. Well as I was talking to her, my cell phone rang and then there was a voicemail.

Turns out it was Ann calling from DnB and when I returned her call she said that she was calling to verifty info for my DUNS number. After I confirmed info, she told me about the builder program, that was $399 and that I could add up to 5 accounts, but only needed 4 for a paydex score. She said there was an additional discount I could get if I payed with a credit card, but I told her I wouldn't have the funds till the 30th and she said she would personally call me back then.

So there is the info I got, hope it helps ya'al :)

Is there any benefit to using a women as the head of the corp. Here is my scenario. I am currnetly a independant computer reseller, I want to relocate to the New England area. I have never actually incorporated, but after reading this thread, I am considering it. I was thinking of actually getting a small store front, similar to the GEEK SQUAD or CHIP HEADS, idea. I know that the SBA has a lot of programs for women owned businesses.

Any thoughts,

Thanks

I agree with wabbit I am a woman with 5 children and there is absolutely NO benefit to being a woman. Don't think that woman minority issues apply ROFL!!!! in terms of SBA I have found that without a personal score of 700+ they wont even look at you and aside from that, they also MUST mortgage a home to extend you credit. Dont even try to find all those alledged GRANTS out there let alone pay for a book on them, they are not available imo and I have been researching for 3 years on this. I just didnt know this place was here

I haven't found that by being a woman I have had any great advantages - just so you know.

Jessica

That does make you a minority owned/women owned company...

which would make it easier for you to do business with the government and companies that follow the same parameters

Nope not true at all sorry

Fed ex gave me the flux today. I said i have a DNB#, REP SAID :Wha?..., I said I am a legitamite business, listed in 411. I need to be monthly invoiced, Rep said, can't do it must be cash, check or credit card. I had to break it down to the rep and tell her that if I pay with those methods it wont report with DNB. And thats not beneficial for my Business, I explained i needed to build credit. she said she would forward to another department for the approval and they would contact me,

So I wait... :P I think I might just PFB them!

I told them that apparently UPS not only offers better service, but better BUSINESS customer CARE! They approved then and there lol!!!

LOL< Jennifer, it got too long!!! So we started a new forum. Start a thread, and post your questions. BTW, 411.com is not the same as the 411 directory referred to here. The one here is your phone company's information directory.

I've spent most of the night reading all this. There is some great information here. Thank you to all who have left info. on experiences.

I am a bit confused about the D&B number. I currently have a D&B number, however, I just did the free number. I do have accounts with Viking, Nebs, and Uline.

Am I correct that I will NOT get a paydex number because I chose to only get the free D&B number?

That's what they tell you ,b ut we have some here who have a paydex, and never bought creditbuilder. It's hard to tell if it's something they are changing right now, or if it's just part of their "sales pitch."

You do NOT need creditbuilder.

you WILL STILL GET A PAYDEX when you have the proper number of TL's.

what you get with creditbuilder is that they contact your mom n pop creditors for you special, so you get a paydex fast.. and those creditors would otherwise probably never get on at all...

Ahhhhh, you need to read the other threads. Do a search, use "creditbuilder" as the keyword, and limit the search to "posts" in this forum only. You'll see it all. We've been exploring this information.
