i also got the denial letter.

i called and the reasons for denial were

Isn't this an odd way to be given an approval or denial. I was told by Sharon that they aren't giving that info over the phone. I will call in on Tuesday for an explanation.

That's ok. Jaime told me I was approved over the phone on Monday. Only thing I got is credit score disclosure. I haven't received any card yet. By the way, did you ask for the status of your application? When did you apply?

I applied over the phone with Jamie on Monday. She actually called me to remind me. I told her I had too much credit and that I might be denied. I told her to go ahed and put my application in. She put the application in and said I was approved for $14,500.00. However, I log on to the elf and see nothing but my savings account I opened. Then I started reading here that the applications were going to the underwriters and Jamie is not the last word. I also received one of the disclosures.

Congrats!!! Same here. I haven't seen any credit card account showing up online.

I have not applied for any loan products with ELFcu, However, they gave me a hard pull on EQ just to open a checking account.

Lilly used to pay their employees once a month. As part of orientation, you were setup with an account at the credit union and were automatically given an ezloan with a CL that was same as your first months gross pay. You could use the ezloan to cover any expenses until you got paid/. We get paid 2x a month now, not sure if ezloans are automatic anymore.

I got Chexsystem today and ELF soft pulled twice on Chexsystem. I don't know why they did that. It was on 5/2 and 5/3.

Right.. They shouldn't tell people that they are approved for one amount and then turn out denying them or approving them for a substantially lesser amount.

I am out, I joined with all the hoopla. They called me 3 or 4 times until I called back the first time. Really talked like they wanted to loan money. Then after 3 or 4 weeks they called and called again. I haven't returned the call this second go around. They "sound" like they really "want" to lend money. After reading all of the posts it doesn't "seem" like know how to???? They are not giving consistent info. I am not wasting a pull based on these posts.I think they are very consumer friendly ,but I will wait until the kinks are worked out.

Also, aint that the truth. Certain employees that may or may not start with J! sound all Lets get you a LOAN!! Gassed up.. Then you apply and its DENIED! Outright.. Or later, as evidenced by recent posts.

 

Also.. They tried to call me somewhat. I think "twice." However its no prob, as I think they just met their first antisocial customer.

I think they're more interested in debit card transactions and bread/butter refinancing healthy loans. My first call with Jamie included a discussion asking if I was interested in a car loan refinancing. Since then I've received about 4 calls with the same scripted message (I don't answer my phone often).
