Just an update as I am in London right now. This card appears to be a real treat here as it does have the pinless chip and everywhere I've gone seems to prefer chip cards over magnetic strip cards. All of the purchases made are posted under pending charges in USD which makes it really easy to know what my daily spend is like.

But here is the best feature of all. Instead of buying pounds (for carrying cash) from the exchangers which charge hefty fees I have went to an RBS atm and used my PD card with pin to pull out 100 pounds. Chase did not charge me a converting fee and the only fee I paid was an ATM fee which wasn't that much (about $2 usd),

If you have Pd, you should be withdrawing by the thousands.

Thats just silly to carry around that much cash. Every place except a few street vendors accept cards.

Nice!!!!! I do NOT want to know what you had to promise that CSR!!! rolleyes.gif

In all seriousness did you get that CLI with a soft because of your PC relationship? Or is it that the norm?

If anyone has the time; I would be curious to know what benefits members have received that ARE NOT listed in the JP Membership books. Please only verified benefits. For example , perks or benefits or if you have actually received a United Club Card or a GHA Black membership card because of JP Palladium. What am I or could I be missing out on?

Is this showing up as a purchase, or a cash advance (where the interest rate will start the day you withdraw money)?

I believe as a purchase because my separate cash advance credit limit has not moved while my available credit has.

Wow, that's awesome... Can you keep an eye on it? I'm going to be traveling soon, and this would be an amazing benefit if not counting as a cash advance.

another sub rosa perk outed

 say hello to the queen for me.

That appears to be the case. I won't know for sure until the transaction post which will probably be sometime tomorrow. Yes, I am here for the Diamond Jubilee and will be leaving on Wednesday morning for Amsterdam.

I would love to know if you can confirm the ATM transaction details in Amsterdam or any other European country. We are headed to Amsterdam, Spain, France, Germany Turkey, Japan and Korea next week, and I would love to be able to use this card at ATMs. It would be totally golden if this is not considered cash advance.

I will be in all of those places (except Japan and Korea) this month so will let you know. As of yet the transaction I made in the UK is still pending so I don't know how it will be classified.

That card is definitely worth the annual fee just in looks. My app frenzy needs to stop this year, but I might get that next year.

So after I saw what appeared to be an easy CLI for Hegemoney (by the time I saw it the image was gone so I can only assume it was nice) I called up and asked for one. My limit was 15k, I asked for 25k. I got a nice call several minutes later and they said no problem. Then I noticed they hard pulled TU AND EQ!!!!! So I called them right back up and said since the pulled hards I want 50K! I just got off the phone with a lending supervisor, and she apologized it took so long (30 minutes)to approve because she was in a meeting. so I CLI'd NFCU to 50K and the Pd to 50K in the matter of a couple days. I love having good credit!

this public thread is probably the largest about this program on the web and the more information it spills the more the program will change. important info PM and i would suggest not putting too much more program information in this topic for anyone to browse through... or not, its a free country, so you can do what you wish.biggrin.gif

You don't have to be worried with Pd card, but I would be a little careful getting your reported cards up too high in limits. You don't want them to be taken out of your utilization equation and result in a surprise utilization ratio.

Yeah, I thought of that with Navy. I have a couple other high limit cards that do report and have 0 balances so I should be okay.

I just did the same and got the same result from calling the backdoor number. The analyst said she would give me more than $50k but I said that was sufficient at this time. No other credit pull required.

Same result as in limit...or as in 2 hards and cli?

Same result as I called back and got an additional CLU without another pull (They only pulled TU yesterday).

Thanks for the info...how long have you had the card?

the card I posted about was my fairmont card, cli to 60K. I am not too concerned about the limit going over 50K since I have about 700K in limits reporting.

Heg, now I am a little mixed up. The 60k cl pic you posted was about your fairmont card? Your caption was something like this is what palladium customer service can do. 15k to 60k without hard pull. I think a bunch of people assumed you were talking about palladium card (as I did) and caused a bunch of cli requests which turned out of be hard. Of course, if they had read earlier posts including ones from me, they would have been a bit suspicious.

So what scenario did you get cli without hard? I am guessing you recon your new fairmont card limit with palladium customer service and hey raised limit.
