Eh, I've seen kids run/skip a lot, especially from kids with saggy britches. I'm not sure if that was the case here, but I don't see this as damning. I admit though, it can cause doubt in his story.

Dude is an salamander.

Yes, he is.

Initially, I thought that Zimmerman made a good move with his choice of attorney. I had heard good things about Zimmerman's attorney. Now some are wondering what he is thinking. It's like he is letting Zimmerman run the show.

Shortly after Wednesday night’s broadcast, Zimmerman’s defunct website “The Real George Zimmerman,” reappeared. The site says the attorney’s website had failed in three key missions: fund raising, disputing information and providing a voice for Zimmerman. The site includes a link the legal trust fund.

“Part of this effort will involve providing a clear picture of who George is, what his family is like, and where he comes from,” the site says.

:blink: Now he is throwing shade at his attorney.

I didn't know attorneys held fund raisers.

And it seems to me his attorney would do better in trying to shut Zimmerman up as opposed to providing him a voice.

Seems Zimmerman has "Attorney" and "Publicist" (or "PR person") mixed up.

GZ is not a good liar... and his attorney is not that great at covering for him if you watch the hearings.

Then they both need to sit down and shut up.

Was Zimmerman's demeanor much different in the interview, than in the hearings? My neighbor has watched all the televised stuff and that interview set him off. The hearings didn't.

I only watched a couple of the hearing and there were the ones with just his attorney. I don't think I would leave my fate in that guys hands. The guy is easy to see through.

I haven't really been a "GZ supporter". What I have supported is that he gets a fair trial, is innocent until proven guilty, and that the media butt out. I try to keep an open mind and can have a healthy debate on various topics. I also support the legal right to carry a firearm and the use of deadly force when justified. It may have seemed I was a GZ supporter but I've said before, if he's guilty of breaking the law, he deserves to be punished. I'm not convinced either way yet - but it seems that every time I open a story it leans heavily left or right and that drives me bananas.

Last night, in his first interview since killing the unarmed 17-year-old, the former neighborhood watch volunteer said the shooting death must have been part of "God's plan" and that he prays for the Martin family daily.

I'm not sure if he's crazy or genius...

He is an salamander. I don't think that interview did him any good. They are already saying that there is a difference in what he told the cops about Trayvon walking/running/skipping and what he said in the interview.

I haven't seen any of the interview, but my neighbor gave me an earful today. I am kind of mad at Zimmerman about that.

My neighbor, who has been a very vocal supporter of Zimmerman, saw the interview and now thinks he is lying. He doesn't believe Zimmerman's claim that he didn't know about the Stand Your Ground law.

Since he's a CC holder, I'm having a little trouble believing that myself. Since he's licensed to carry, he should be up to speed on the laws.

So he TM is on the phone with his girlfriend and said someone is following him (he was fearful?), and rather than hauling azz back to the house, he SKIPs away?

How in hell does this make any sense.

I can't recall ever, in all my years on earth, seeing a teenage boy SKIP off anywhere. Come to think of it, I can't recall seeing any teenage girls do that either (unless they were in a high school musical production and it was part of the choreography).

I've sort of popped in and lurked from time to time just to see the comments. I saw a few minutes of the interview and it was contrived and fake-looking. GZ had no affect and did not seem genuine in his answers. But what do I know?

To now claim TM "skipped" rather than run away from someone who was following him is just beyond ridiculous and does nothing for GZ's credibility.

He's just throwing more rope for himself.

All he had to do was stay in the car and report to police the location or last known location of the person he called about. Simple.

Asked why Zimmerman would risk doing a national television interview while facing criminal charges that carry a maximum life sentence, O’Mara said, “This is a decision made by George to get his story out” and, he hoped, would raise money for his defense fund.

But Fox News never mentioned the websites that link to the defense fund donation page, and only about $1,500 trickled into the fund overnight. That compares to about $60,000 raised on the day the defense fund got its first mentions on Fox News in April.

“My understanding is it was going to be spoken about” during the hour-long Sean Hannity show, O’Mara said, adding there was “disappointment” the site was not referenced.

Anyone think O'Mara is going to drop Zimmerman as a client?

George Zimmerman's Parents Launch Website Asking For Donations

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/news/crime-law/george-zimmermans-parents-launch-own-website/nP5GS/

Just a week after their son re-launched his website, George Zimmerman's parents have launched their own website, and they are asking for money.

Therefore, I am providing a link for those supporters who would like to leave us a personal message or contribute to our greatly increased living expenses, and our eventual relocation," the site reads.

The family attributes the need for money to health issues and for the need for the family to relocate after their address became public knowledge.

I am wondering if his behavior over the last few months has cost him in supporters. Whatever you believed when the whole thing started, after they caught him lying about the money, for example, the conversations with his wife in jail, the TV interviews - I wonder if it has changed some people's opinions?

Watching him lose credibility like that, I would imagine it HAS to, but it's hard for me to say, because I'd always thought he was at fault.

I think it has cost him. I know many people who were very vocal in their support of him initially (some even donated). Now, many of them are saying they want to see all of the evidence or have switched to thinking he lied about his entire story.

The main reasons I have heard for change in support are:

The lies about the donations.

The comments about "God's will" and not knowing about stand your ground. Quite a few people have mentioned those to me.

His entire demeanor during the interview.

The statement from Trayvon's girlfriend about what she heard. Some people thought that she did not contact the police until weeks later. I guess they found out that she tried to contact the police immediately and are giving her story more credence.

This whole think is a fiasco for the Zimmerman family. I read GZ's wife pled not guilty today.

They now need to divert $$$ to her defense too.

And win lose or draw they are going to be hit with a wrongful death civil suit after this is all said and done.

If Zimmerman wins, a civil suit cannot be filed against him for killing Trayvon.

Not only that, but how he is out on $1,000,000 bail after claiming he had nowhere near that much, then giving that God-awful Hannity interview where he says Trayvon was skipping. Has he not contradicted himself enough times already while he awaits trial in his gated community?

If Zimmerman wins, a civil suit cannot be filed against him for killing Trayvon.

If he gets a favorable "stand your ground" ruling under the current law it would be true, but I'd expect it to go to the Supreme Court.

If it's "not guilty by self defence" then he might be sued, but in a perfect world that would assume that sufficient evidence exists to convince a jury it was self defence, so a civil jury would face the same thing.
