Looks like we need a new code. People who used their REAL e-mail during November should receive the December code. I used fake e-mail addresses so I won't receive it.

I used fake e-mail addresses but I could always just register the e-mail...as long as nobody else has the same...but I DID use my real e-mail address last month or the first time I did this and I dont remember ever getting any new codes! If anyone (including myself) has any luck with Decembers code PLEASE POST! Its really nice pulling these 2 real reports every week or so!!

I was borderline 800's last time I check in September. Letting a Balance report on Discover and opening my new Amex BCP is what hurt the most.

Can somebody e-mail CreditScore@finra.org and request January's Financial Educator Code? I e-mailed them but they said I've received too many free credit scores so they will not release the code. Try using a new e-mail address, I think that's how they tracked it because I've pulled way more reports than they quoted me.

Just a basic e-mail. I would use a new e-mail address.

I sample e-mail might read:

Hello,

I read about Military members receiving a free FICO Score report on saveandinvest.org, but I don't have an active code to use. We currently don't have a Financial Educator at <enter your base>. Could I get the January Financial Educator Code?

Thank You,

Below is what I received back from them via e-mail. You will also see my original e-mail message to them. I wasnt too sure how to answer the questions so I went no further.

Dear Mr. Colon,

Thank you for your interest in the credit score and analysis tool the FINRA Investor Education Foundation is providing free of charge to active duty servicemembers and their spouses. Using this tool involves two steps: 1) registering on SaveAndInvest.org (usually through your installation Personal Financial Manager); and 2) then creating a myFICO account (or accessing an existing account).

Since you appear not have access to a PFM, please send me the following information so we can register you:

· First Name

· Last Name

· Email Address

· Service Branch (Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy)

· Installation/Base (e.g., Fort Monmouth, NJ or Garmisch, Germany)

· Status (Active Duty, Active Duty Reservist, Active Duty National Guard, Other Duty Status)

· Rank (E-1 through O-10, Spouse or Not Applicable)

· Permission to send you our monthly SaveAndInvest.org e-Newsletter (yes or no)

Once we get this information and verify your eligibility, you will receive an email from CreditScore@finra.org with the following graphic link:

<img id="yiv705740571Picture_x0020_1" alt="ConfirmBtn" border="0" height="72" width="451">

Click on that link to go to myFICO.com—and either create a new profile or, if you’ve previously used myFICO, log in to your existing account. Because creating a profile involves entering a valid Social Security Number and responding correctly to “challenge questions” that verify your identity (such as confirmation of mortgage carrier or recent payment amounts), you might need to have ready access to your financial records.

A couple of important tips:

· Active Duty Alert. If you have an active duty alert or other freeze on your credit files, be sure to call the contact myFICO for help at (800) 848-1133 (Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, or Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time).

· Previous myFICO.com Users. Logging in directly to an existing myFICO.com account will not take you to your free score. You’ll need to use the links in the emails from CreditScore@finra.org.

· Dealing with Credit Score Problems. If you have questions about your score or how to improve your credit, be sure to work with your installation’s Personal Financial Manager (who is usually with the Army Community Service Financial Readiness Program, the Airman & Family Readiness Center or the Fleet and Family Service Center) or contact Military OneSource at www.militaryonesource.com. We also encourage you to use the tools and resources on www.SaveAndInvest.org/Military.

Thanks again for reaching out to us.

Sincerely,

Marlene Cohen

Subject: FICO Score report on saveandinvest.org

Hello,

I read about Military members receiving a free FICO Score report on saveandinvest.org, but I don't have an active code to use. We currently don't have a Financial Educator at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base. Could I get the January Financial Educator Code?

Thank You,

Miguel Colon.
