$30k Gap Visa Upgrade???

Well... turns out this gets filed in the too good to be true category! Even the printed slip that comes with the card says $30000 on it... however, upon activation, it was a $3,000 line on this new Gap Visa card. Its still a nice jump from the $500 limit I had on the card before, so I'm super happy about that.

 

Still though... coulda had 60,000 Jack In The Box tacos... *sigh*

Thanks guys... I'm only a little bit bummed. Another $3k card brings my average CL's up some more, it converts a store card into a normal bank card (I have too many store cards), and since its GECRB, I'm sure than a year from now I'll be sitting on a much nicer limit. The $30k would have been incredible, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Once this has started to report, I think I'm gonna close out one of the $750 CapOne cards, so my averages go up some more and another toy card is wiped as well. Too many positives for me to get too bummed out.

I was rooting for OP, but figured "too good to be true" told the story. Still, in his shoes, I'd be on the phone (tongue just slightly thrust in my cheek) to express my disappointment and ask if, as a concession, they'd be willing to match my highest line. (In Mr. Media's case, this would be his $5K Lowe's store card.)

Truth be told I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask. I have the screen shots and kept the printed slip that came with the card just because I think its kinda funny. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and see if they're willing to play ball.
