I called yesterday and requested they update my credit report since it was still showing my balance from January 2011. It updated today to reflect the $0 balance but it's still not reporting a limit.

I talked to a rep about this. Your CL will soon be seen on statements, both paper and online. They will begin reporting to the CRAs after June 26th

My limit is reporting, sadly its only 25 more than what I recently charged but I guess thats no different than having no limit as it reads as high utilization as well.

I had been seeing my limit reporting on statements and online. I was just irritated with them that they were still reporting my balance from January 2011. I had paid it down to zero and I'm trying to get approved for a mortgage and pay off all my cards with little balances.

This happened to me recently with a handful of TLs reporting old balances for months on end on EQ.

To expedite the updating of PIF accounts, I disputed the balance as reported incorredtly and they were summarily updated- it only took a few days. Hope this helps.

I was afraid if I disputed through the CRAs it would delete completely and I've had the card for 12 years so I didn't want it to go away. I called Macy's directly and she said it would take up to 30 days to update but it was there the next day. I guess I just got lucky with this one. Now if I could just get them to report the limit!

Macy's rep just told me they werent updating my balance because I have a credit balance of 4.00, and that if they reported 0 balance they would be reporting incorectly. She said I have to have a refund issued and that it would report at the end of the month when they updated. This doesnt sound anything like what im reading here.

In good news, my limit was on my statement for the first time this month at 400. I asked to talk to the credit people and they increased me to 1000(what i asked for) after updating income, assets, and rent data. She didnt ask me specifically if I was ok with her pulling my credit, she just said I will have to see if "they" will allow me to increase your credit. About two seconds later she said "they" allowed the increase to 1000. I will check back in and let you know if i see any inquiries in a couple days. MY last soft from them was 2/24/2012 so they may have used that.

The limit is reporting on your hard copy stateemnt, or the online version?

This is from "online" when I go to view a statement and select April 2012 and it opens as a PDF. Is this not an exact copy of what I would get in the mail? I dont know if I could find my hard copy us-mail statement.

Yes, just confirming you were looking at the Macy's web site. So many sites offer abbreviated versions of the Macy's statements, I just wanted to confirm you are seeing it on your " real " Macy's statement, which you clearly are--the same as the print version.

So have you seen your reports lately to see if the limit is reporting there too? The " they " she was talking about, by the way, is the computer software each person uses for credit decisioning. She put you on hold, clicked a few buttons on her screen, and came back to tell you the results. I'll bet a million bucks you got a hard inquiry on Experian.

So now that our previous "guidelines" have been established as our "credit limits"...and (hopefully) will be reporting like normal cards...

Is there any way to get an increase without a hard pull?

They are still doing auto CLI's, but if you are requesting the CLI, no. Some on this forum have reported the presence of a luv button on the Macy's web site, but I've not read that recently.

Just got my new paper statement in the mail today & it is reporting my credit limit on my statement of $2000. Which is what it was before they stoped reporting. :clapping:

I hope the CA's reflect the change as well.

If they are doing it in alphabetic order my last name begins with an A.

With 22 million accounts, it'll take a while to get all of them reporting, no doubt.

I hope you post again when it does start reporting on your CR's.

Of course I will.

So, who knows how Macy's "Special Event" sub-accounts will reflect on credit reports. My statement shows a $3400 revolving CL, but I have over $10K outstanding in "Special Event" purchases on my statement. Will that balance be reported separately on my report, and will it show an additional CL not reflected currently on my statement? Or will the total account balance of $10K+ be reflected as grossly above my reported CL?

Having worked in Macy's Credit throughout the time where we transitioned into the CARDA era, I am going to guess they are going to have to report them separately. However, I hope you'll post again once you find out for sure.

My April statement cut today with a credit limit showing for both my regular & major purchase accounts...same limits. We'll see what happens when the reports update for the month.

Really? I have a red and jewelry account and the jewelry one isn't showing up on my statement. It only shows the limit for the red account.
