Good question. I'm locked out of the EQ backdoor currently, and too afraid to try again because I don't want any early C* this month. :P I use EQ complete to get my soft inquiries, but maybe someone with access to the EQ backdoor could give you some info. If I remember correctly, you just click on "Inquiries in the Last 2 Years" and they're under your hard inquiries.

I am getting the same problem as Todd and I know I am doing it right because this is how I posted last night and it said I had over 98 softs .... now its saying that I only have 9 good softs, but I have not been chopped.

Anyone else having the same problem?

The correct format for the counter is:

INQ NAME<TAB CHARACTER>1,3/12, 1/2/12, 1/1/12

Everyone's setup is slightly different. If your browser is not copying/pasting the tab character correctly, you'll have to manually format it in notepad or something similar. If you're having the exact same problem as ToddP, you're not copying and pasting from the correct area. "Company Information:" and "Date of Inquiry:" should not appear in the data you paste in.

Edit: Also check this file I linked in the OP: http://208.115.246.44/~ibizloca/credit/pre_chop.txt - If the lines your pasting are formatted like that, please post what you're pasting in

tags so I can take a look at it.

I am copying and pasting mine directly from EQ Premier. The layout looks exactly the same. Would you please instruct me on how to paste my report in [code] tags so that you can view it for me. Thanks for your assistance.

Ok Spigot, I figured out the problem. When copying and pasting the information in IE8, the formatting is off, but when I copy and paste the inquires in FireFox it is countd correctly. So I will just use FireFox when counting. Thanks for helping.

I had to copy/paste it from EQ backdoor into notepad, remove "Company Information" and "Date of inquiry", then use the counter. It worked.

Are you going to add a "date of oldest inq" feature so it can auto count what inqs will be used for B*?

ToddP, I should have that done in the next 2 weeks. I've been swamped at work, but as soon as I find some time I'll get this done. If anyone has any other feature requests, please let me know. :)

Good to hear. As soon as I have some time, I'll setup a way to detect IE pasting strangeness and take care of that issue.

Awesome tool!

I entered all of my softs from Equifax Complete, and got:

Total "good" softs found: 83

I hope to see some Bumpage soon!

Nice! Which monitoring services do you have?

I hate to be that guy, but any timeline on getting the TU counter working? I am finishing up my EQ report and am looking forward to cleaning up TU. I love using the tool for EQ and will be great help if/when it is available for TU.

If someone is willing to provide me with the TU softs format and exactly what I should be counting, I'll get started on this right away. :) Unfortunately, TU locked me out long time ago and I don't see them giving me access any time soon.

I can provide if you like...do you want me to send it by message?

Hello, I just wanted to paste my current count and let you know that I think the EQ counter is counting some things that it shouldn't...

The count I am getting from all that is 80. I currently have 8 inquires. I did manage to get 1 inquiry to bump today... so I'm pretty sure it is darned close to the right number but just off a little bit. :)

Like perhaps the ones from Digital Federal Credit union and AT&T should not be counting?
