All cash/debit card

Merry Christmas to all :clapping:

Wanted to buy Xbox 360 but just couldn't see spending $500+ to get it and a couple of games & controllers. I'll wait till next year when hopefully they come down.

Way over board...

DH got me a new car - 18K, a HDTV on the Amex and about 5K on the MC - but about 2K of that was travel expenses to get my SD who's mother is now saying she is going to deny us time with her. So Merry Christmas. I dont feel very in the mood right now.

Get the Wii. $250 and more fun to play. When more games come out, it will be better than 360 or PS3, I predict.

Hmm...... Probably around $1000 sprinkled between various cards. I ended up giving quite a few gift card this year and it gave me a reason to bring out the sock drawer cards. All of them are getting PIF next week.

It went on the cards for the airline miles, etc. but was paid off. The family puts a limit on the amount to be spent for each, but this year I treated myself to a new 8 megapixel, 5X optical zoom camera as I like photography. That, with the family (small) gifts was around $600.

The graphics could be better but the interactive game play is actually really cool. I don't see Halo coming to Nintendo but if it does... WOW!

$100 on presents and $100 to charity. My family's not big on gifts. I couldn't imagine living in some of your families. Going into debt for gifts?

:cry2: Good for you! :)

More people should be this way, but I do understand when you have younger kids. Mine are 14 & 19 and have more than anyone deserves. I didn't buy them much and I think next year I'm gonna encourage a new charity program of adopting a needy family that we buy for instead of each other.

The Wii looks realy cool and my daughter wanted that one, but I bought the gamecube for her just a few years ago. My son wanted the 360, as did I, but just couldn't pay that much. I'll wait till one comes down and maybe buy one for a birthday or next Christmas.

Of all of the posts in this thread, I didn't see that many people going into debt to finance the gifts. Seems to be few and far between.

Merry Christmas, muchacho.

That or they don't want to admit it.

I have about $2k debt but I have plenty more than that in savings. I just wanted to pay over a few months time and at 0%, there's no harm in it. I really wouldn't have spent the dough if I didn't have it in the bank.

But it is technically considered debt, I guess.

Glad you mentioned charities. There are quite a few that are very important to me and I give to during the holiday season...but, none of my lenders or banks are included (PIF) B)
