Well we went thru and did the application all the way up to the submit and there was no AU that I saw but it could be done as a joint, only I want to be an AU not joint.  Thanks Heg.

you may be able to add AU after approval.

I'll call the CSRs when I get a chance and ask.

How long did it take for them to decline you? I just applied, and got a message that it's "in review"

there are so many...

SFB is one too.

I recently got Zions First National Bank for 10K...bk-friendly. I wonder how many other oddball and/or regional banks are too????

Zion turned me down...didn't bother with reconsideration though

Heg, we went ahead and applied for My SO for the Zion's Bank Visa Platinum and they declined SO saying:

Applicant lives out of service area

Bankruptcy

Now we live in Alabama, but on the application nowhere did it say that Alabamians were not eligible, on the contrary the app had a pull down menu that had all the states that were eligible. Also, SO's BK7 was filed on 9/98 and there are no negatives whatsoever on SO's EX report which they pulled. The income that we put down was 5200 salary monthly and 842 child support monthly.

What do you suggest?

goodwill?

I don't think that would work. Anyway we called them back and informed them that they had no reasonable measures inplace to inform anyone that they have a service area and do not service the whole US. Their response was and I quote - "Too Bad". They said that they were required by law to accept all applications but were not required to inform anyone that they were outside their (Zions) service area.

I'm not nocking you Heg, but this company is not what you pictured them to be.

sorry it did not work out. they should disclose their service area IMHO.

they've been good to me, although I have not been using the card much.

It's cool, and not your fault at all. Instead we are going for the Nordstrom card instead. Looks like everything is on the Up and Up with Nordy.

Intercourse Bank and Trust is now 'Heritage Towne Bank'. The next town over on Route 741 (between Blue Ball and Intercourse) is Bird-in-Hand.

Whoever said the Amish didn't have a sense of humor?

any clue on bk-friendliness?

or who they pull...

I dunno. Is there any info about RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) out there? Did anyone apply for the Kroger card? Same bank.

I applied for the Kroger card April '05, was denied for derogs initially and went for reconsideration stating that I had no derogs that weren't IIB, so they replied to recon denying for BK lol

I just reapplied, no word yet they don't offer instant.

I keep getting solicitations for the Ralphs card, issued by RBS. (Ralphs is a supermarket which is ubiquitous in Southern California.)

Some decent terms...0 % on BTs and purchases for 12 months, but the go-to rate is nothing special, IIRC. I keep throwing them in the trash, as I want my current cards to age a little before I go for this card.

RBS does get my recommendation solely because of the constant BT offers I get. Other than that, it is a mediocre card.

Worth a revival here,

We keep talking about the same cards over and over again. Need to stir the pot.

Agreed. I don't know if I can take another thread about converting Citi cards, how/what Juniper cards to apply for, getting the partially secured $99/$500 VISA, Amex LUV button and/or dancing, flashing HOOTERS and our hatred of HSBC/Chase.

Another card that should be thrown up there is Commerce Bank Platinum VISA card. They are a popular bank on the East Coast and their card has no fees whatsoever (just like the AMEX Clear) and has a very attractive APR. There is my bump of an oddball contribution.
