I should have B* on EQ this week... Question is if I know that I want to app for something should I go ahead and do it prior to reaching B* (i.e. now) or wait until the hards have fallen off? If I app now and add another hard will it just be pushed off with the others or will it "reset" or disrupt the work I have already put in for B*???

If you add an inquiry today you will need an additional 85 pulls starting tomorrow to bump off that inquiry. I would wait until clean slate, then app/cli or whatever, then work on bumping those off.

Thx for clearing that up...I wasnt sure if the 85 were in total or only counted after the last hard.

I have creditinform free with my secured CC. It's handy in that it has a bar graph showing each month, so you can compare your core visually. It is NOT worth paying for though. LOL. I'm just glad I'm getting it free.

My score went from 646 in March up to 729 in July! Just wish I knew how this Fako compares to my Experian FICo

It went up 83 points in 5 months....after lots of work.

It says I have a Good credit score!! Weeeeee

Joan:

CreditInform Premier states that they use Intersections.

Can you join Credit.com, Credit Karma & Credit Sesame, and see how those scores compare to your CIP score?

Credit.com will even give you an estimate of your FICO & VantageScore.

Thanks,

Bob

Procedural point:

Because CIP used to stand for Citi Identity Protection, we had been using CHIP for Chase Identity Protect

Citi now calls their product Citi Identity Monitor, or CIM.

So CIP can either stay with Citi Identity Protection, or be recycled to refer to Chase Identity Protect, or CreditInform Premium.

Or, we could leave everything as is, and just refer to CreditInform Premium as CRIP. :D

I just had 9 inquiries reinserted by TU today. I'm in TX. Several of the inquiries are set to drop off in August, so I'm going to hold off on *B for a while. My goal was to go in to June next year when I app for a mortgage with 0 on TU and EQ. EX just has 1.

TU re-insertion is happening all the time now. :(

Good plan not to bump TU till right before major credit apps.

This is my second round of B* this year with EQ. In my case both times Intersections HAVE counted towards B*

We seriously need guinea pigs for CRIP then. :D

My next two pulls will B* off inquiries. I only have one pull left today (MPM), to use a monthly puller trial or not to use a monthly puller trial hmmz :D

Just as a test I bought a report from myFico yesterday. It also definitely counted, just as it had last time I B*ed earlier this year.

What are the dates of your hards? Remember you've got to B* off any good softs that are older than your hards first. Looks like you still have some softs from 2011.

Or one of the hards is sticky.

He had multiple sticky hards but also multiple good softs that needed to be B*ed first

At EQ I'm B*'ing my softs off at a 74 count... is that normal? I'm using the counter script at wefuku .giggle.

It's normal if you've got 11 hards. If not, maybe you've discovered a new FC... or an old one you don't know about. Keep careful records, just in case!

I'll start taking some screen caps. I've got data for yesterday and today. I believe I have 16 hards...

If this all means something... lemme know...

I'm not seeing any FCs in your lists. Try ctb's counter. It's the most reliable. It's showing you at 73 good softs. If you have 16 hards then more than likely 4 of those hards are sticky and you'll be able to get 12 off.

Pardon my ignorance... whats an FTC?

Ha ha... oops. I meant FC... (ducks for more sarcasm heading his way)

The First Rule About FC...

And there has been SO MANY violations of that rule, causing the demise of almost all of FC... :cry2:
