Wasn't being condescending. Also, knowing that you started with 39 hards helps a lot. Were you hunting for a mortgage by any chance? Either way, a number of your hards are undoubtedly sticky.

We're all here to learn and help to the best of our abilities. All we ask is that people are polite and take it upon themselves to learn as much as possible instead of asking for it to be done for them. It sounds like you've read all threads and know what you're doing, so maybe going forward it would help to create a spreadsheet or other organizational device to keep track of what you're actually bumping.

Hards?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you wanted both (thought you just wanted clarification on the actual entries I referred to) To be clear, I assume you want the softs/hards from the day last week that I expected to bump and didn't or does it matter?

You just bumped SHEFFIELD FINANCIAL which was from 5/18. This means that all your hards dated before that are sticky. Now you have some softs in between that hard and your next hard that have to get bumped first.

FIRST AMERICAN CREDCO 01/09/12, 08/02/10

CREDCO AUTOMOTIVe 12/23/11

FACUTAL DATA 12/06/10

UNIVERSAL CREDIT SERVICES 07/01/11

These are your 5 stickies as of now. This is what I meant about re-reading some of the threads. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but you said none of them were sticky. If you have hards that are older than the last INQ you B*, that means they're sticky (due to FIFO ordering).

Posted

ok the threads pretty large & i got the impression you enjoyed showing off your expertise in the subject, I gathered that stickies were typically mortgage inquiries.

i wouldnt have figured that credco was a non b*able inq. it is an automtive inquiry all of them are.

factual data or universal were from a mortgage

beating a dead horse just brings up a not so good mental picture

can anything be done about stickies or should I go back & read...

I want to get my father on the b* train....when day does c* end for sure so I can get started.

Get started right away, especially with MPM, since it takes a while to get access.

No, I don't particularly get any satisfaction "showing off" my knowledge to strangers on an anonymous Internet forum. But that is neither here nor there.

As for stickies, there is nothing you can do. Just wait for them them to fall off.

There's no hard and fast rule about which INQs are sticky. Mortgage INQs usually are, but there is nothing that excludes others. I would just keep pulling and clear the rest.

I did the google search and did not come up with anything new or relevant. Does the EQ Complete Family Plan count toward B*? Where we can pull for both the wife and me?

Thanks!

Yes, it will but be careful...EQC is suspected to get people on the C* block. If you're not sure, pull with USAA for 3 months and see if you get B*.

thanks for the concern on C* but I have been on that list for at least a year sorry.gif

I have always had mine and my wifes separately and it has been a huge pain when a report gets stuck and I would have to get the wife to call EQ customer service. Our EQ's have been clear for a while but have recently app'd for a discover and want to clear the inquiry before we apply for our mortgage. Just wondering if this will help with me calling even if it is for her report. Gotta try something new!

Posted

sure wish there was something other than EQ Complete (I already have MPM & CCMP). It always takes me at least 10 minutes to get the new report.

Don't have an AE so SC is out sorry.gif

Well I'm all clear (save 3 inquiries from a few weeks ago, as well as recent mortgage inquiries, well, and my stickies). Leaves me with seven :-/, but not worth all this effort for another month. In other news, myfico scorewatch jumped to 696 (from 663 on 4/19, and 684 on 6/11).

Thanks all

I'd say a 33 point jump pretty worth while, CONGRATS! :good:
