UPDATE:

Jamie just called me to see if I'm still interested to apply for the card. I told her to go ahead to put one in for me. They're not going to pull the credit again. They're going to use the same report (when I applied for LOC last month). She told me they can get approved for the max of amount of $17K because I have 748 EQ score. The rate will be the 14.99%. I alos ask her about the Visa Signature Card. The Visa Signature is for big spender. They have different credit underwriting and it's going to be tougher to get. She will let me know later on this afternoon.

Ron.

Is the max limit for this card $17k, or is that the max limit they will approve YOU for based on your score? I didn't quite understand that part.

$17K is the max amount they will approve based on my credit score 748 as of last month. I think the Platinum Rewards CL might go as high $20K. That's why they have higher tier Visa Signature Card something like $50K I think. Bob, that's the card for you.

Ron.

Wow, that's higher limits than I was expecting. My EQ is teetering on the brink of 800, wonder what they'd give me...

Gaby,

What's your score? It won't be too hard. She told me the min. CL they will give is $500. You might qualify for something. It might as hard as everyone thinks.

I will let everyone knows how things turn out later this afternoon. They might need me to sign another e-sign.

Everything's on hold till August, at which time I'll probably go for JLOC first.

But, this definitely goes on the To-Do List. :D

Bob,

No hurry. They will be here.

rolleyes.gif You've been saying that for TWO YEARS.

Well, that's how long it takes for those Experian inquiries to drop off. :P

Bob,

ELFCU doesn't pull EXP for credit products. They pull EQ.

I'm kind of like Jay, tinkering with his cars. ;)

How do you like to spend your Sundays?

Working at my garage. I have about 135 cars and 90 motorcycles. It's a little silly, but my thing has always been one woman and 200 vehicles. It's cheaper than one car and 200 girlfriends.

Didn't lilyflower mention a decent secured card for rebuilders coming today too?

Ron, they used your existing hard pull for this card because you already applied for a loan, right? Assuming everyone who didn't WILL get a hard pull for the card. They won't be going by the soft EQ pulled for membership.

I was told they were considering it... time to send an e-mail to my friendly ELF buddy to see if it's even worth apping for me. I'm teetering around 600 on EQ and have been paying on the credit builder loan (ahead of time because I'm so paranoid) since February.

I haven't heard anything yet. No new INQ on EQ. I got the 30 day message, than I got an e-mail with the 7-10 day message :dntknw:

Okay, I did live chat... no minimum score per se for approval. They aren't offering secured cards now but might in the future.

I think I'm going to take one for the team and app. Keep your fingers crossed for some ELF magic.

Interesting, called Elfcu just now to follow up on app, was told they aren't allowed to give a decision verbally over the phone! Either you get a card in the mail or a rejection letter with the usual info on it. I called due to the Equifax notification of a new inquiry today from them.

I think they don't give instant decision. Your application will be manual review.

It's weird. Jamie told me I can get approve for $17K earlier this morning. They can use the same report for the EZ Loan.

Like others said, I think they're doing a manual review/approvals. I just applied and got the 30 day message. Hmm...

Check your e-mail. What does the e-mail from them say?
