My understanding is that they are going to look at your personal (soft pull) if the business file isnt strong enough. I didnt try this, but I would assume if you leave the SS field back, you're going to get an error message. If you can get the app submitted without it, power to you!

Nobody seems to know for sure, but if you're business file is strong, perhaps they only give the personal file a casual glance if at all. But I still think they're gonna insist upon it for the application.

How old was your Experian File?

 

How old was your DnB File?

 

How old was your Corp?

 

Do you believe the decision was based more on DnB or Experian?

 

What limits where you approved for?

I applied for citi business first, was approved in a week.

I applied for the other two cards last Monday on the same day. I, too, was wondering if it was good to apply for all three in such a short time frame. I'll know what my answer will be early next week.

Seems that many of the folks getting big Citi limits with very little reporting aren't sole proprietorships. I guess that one aspect makes a huge difference.

It allowed me to accesorize my account and online access etc. Anybody have this happen to them? What was the result of the application? Did you call in to find out what they needed?

I want to wait to get the results of this Citi App before I apply for the other 2 but I was planning on also applying for HDMC, Home Depot, Lowes, and Northern Tool.... If i go ahead and apply for these does anyone think it will affect my Citi App?

 

 

How fast do these inquiries hit the reports?

I received the same message when I applied and eventually got the card for 4K but it took almost 2 months as they needed me to send in some docs. I also applied for the HDMC a few days later and got code 26 and received the card about a week later. I do not think that they have any effect on each other. As far as the inquiries go, I did not check my experian yet as I am waiting to check again until mid june when my 90 days are almost up from my last pull.

I am still waiting on my Citi app results but would it cause me and problems to go ahead and apply for Key Bank while the citi app os in underwritting?

I applied today for the Citi Mastercard and received a similar message and link to accessorize/set up account which I did. I have read through this entire thread as well as many others and I don't see many people getting this message. I wonder if applying on a weekend has something to do with it. Anyone know how long I should wait before making the "I want to make sure you received my application" call

I just called and rep said we are glad you called we needed to verify some information, legal structure of company, length in business, etc. Which I entered on application so not sure why they needed it again. She also wanted to verify my physical address vs personal PO BOX which I also provided on application in anycase she said we can send cards to PO Box and statement to your physical address or to your business address. I asked her so how much was it approved for and she said I will hear within 7-10 days, we couldn't process without that information. Does that sound like an approval? Or have others been denied after all of this?

Well I guess the accessorize page does mean approval, just found out approved cards mailed $7500.00 CL

I called 1-800-472-2069. I applied for Citi PP yesterday and today received several calls from citibank or their auto dial system I should say. Called in verified same info as last time. Two more times after I called in I received the same auto call and called back was told by very nice rep that if you don't connect through that call back to them the auto dialer will keep attempting to call you so they can verify the info.

 

99% I am approved for this one as well. I am not going to try for the 3rd interest rate is 17% on the AA.

i received a denial letter stating that my personal TU record was pulled and denied becoz of delinquencies on file.

 

that's totally unfair! how did all you other guys not get pulled?

 

my corporation's been open since 2001 but i've only just started building a credit file. my D&B has 2 tradelines and i have no paydex yet.

Lorraine, what was your personal scores and did you have anything reporting on D&B? any paydex? how old is ur corp?

We have been incorporated since 2004 in biz since 2003. My personal scores are all in the mid 600 range, no pulls or I should say hard pulls on my personal credit. We have a duns number and have been listed with them since starting but no paydex, not sure why they won't give it to us. We do have an experian score I want to say it was 67? I don't recall at the moment. From what I have read it seems those who have citibank personal cards tend to have their personal credit as well as business reports pulls when you apply for busines. I could be wrong but I think there is a correlation there.

Yes, but only certain ones. I forget which they are, but you can find the info on their Web site.
