FYI - I don't believe CJ reports to any of the bureaus anymore, so it isn't a good tool for rebuilding any longer..

Google did it for me! Happy to be here....BK 7 Discharged in Nov. 2011 so was looking for tips on rebuilding my credit. VERY glad to have found this board. Already broke one Cardinal rule I read about to late, disputed items on CB's online THEN read here I shouldn't....AAaarghhhh!

Found this page after looking at my credit score and what a complete shocker...

I was referred to this board from a few people on a completely different forum after seeking advice on fixing my credit on my own or paying $500-$3 for a person/comapny to do it for me. I didn't think I would be able to do so but I just finished reading PsychDoc's Beginners Credit Intervention transcripts and I feel so empowered now that I know what to do, who to send letters to first, what to say, and so on.

 

I hope to go from a 530 to 700 in 3 years or less, I have to tackle some CO's and hopefully get those removed and them build some revolving credit. After reading the transcripts and I now know I can do it.

 

BTW, those transcripts should definitely go into the Newbie's Guide as the first things to read.
