So I just talked to Jamie, super nice. She advised me to actually try for an auto loan in October, as I have been car shopping. But one thing did bother me. The score she said, EQ - was 648. I asked her if it was FICO or internal scoring, and she said it was FICO. Can anyone who has received credit from here confirm this? If it is FICO, I'm in shock, because I thought my EQ was still in the high 500's. I know its not the best score, but I think its pretty decent for 6 months post BK. :D

 

I got approved for EZ-LOan with EQ Score 748. Johnathan told me I could qualify any loan I wanted including auto loan. I may want one later this year. The rate is ok. My local cu is as low as 1.99%.

You might want to open secured loan to establish relationship with them. It might help you to get auto loan later.

She actually said If I brought my utilization down a little bit that I would probably be good for an auto loan. Its about 18% right now.

I was told by Johnathan that they like to see 2 years rebuilding history after BK before they approve any loans. I don't know if the rebuilder loan will help to hasten the decision to lend or not. I'm kind of on the fence.

 

my 8 years was not enough for them.

Really?? This is very strange. You need to call them and find out if/when they sent it out.

 

I got a "welcome new person" call from Navy last week, and during the course of the call, the woman realized that a debit card and checkbook had never been ordered for me. She did it right then and the card came yesterday. Maybe you got lost in the avalanche!

Same here, I just used the live chat and found out it was never ordered. Quick fix I'll have it soon.

Usually when I hesitate on these things and it turns out "too late" it was for the best. I suspect it's the case here too. I hesitated after the first day and I'm thinking I'm glad that I did.

 

I enjoy the thread and watching all that transpires here though :P
