I just don't understand. I probably can't even get approved for a Civic, let alone a BMW, and I've never filed BK. How the HECK do you get approved without showing proof of income?!

WTF?

With a good credit and job history.

I purchased a 2012 Silverado 1500 LT Crew Cab for $33,000(a little more than this BMW), no proof of income required and only put down 2 grand. I'm 24 with no other auto loans and only got my first credit card 2 and a half years ago.

"With a good credit...history"

Isn't filing for bankruptcy the exact opposite of good credit history?

I have three,

1st:Orchard bank threw HSBC (soon to be cap1) 2.5 years ago. $300 limit.

2nd:Bestbuy threw HSBC (soon to be cap1)1.5 years ago. $300 limit.

3rd: An over the limit credit limit threw my credit union 6 months ago. $300 limit.

The truck was purchased threw Ally(formally GMAC) for 6.9%, which based off my limited credit history I felt was fair.

I'm sure it would be, fortunately I have never been in the position where I needed to file for bankruptcy.

I've financed many cars, including two BMWs and have never been asked to prove income.
