So we have established that shaving a little girl's head bald is a haircut. We have also established that stripping her naked and putting her in a diaper when she is just starting to form the basis of independent identity, and womanhood, is the same as being made to sit in the corner, or wear an embarrassing sign or tshirt.

 

Well in that case. Let's not talk about punishment, how about signs of adoration and love.

 

Fondling of the genitals, buttocks, breasts, as well as "romantic" kissing, and sexual intercourse are all symbols of deep affection and intimacy. Presuming the child is not made to feel any form of physical pain, why should parents not be allowed to show affection to their children in this way. It is certainly a deeper form of affection then just a hug or a pat on the head. Who are we to make the argument that the child is being harmed by their parent's "love".

 

I'm not making the argument. You people are. If you are going to let parents have free reign over what is and is not permissible as punishment, you must also allow them to decide what is and is not acceptable forms of affection. If you think "well that's different", then you are being a hypocrite, because it isn't. It isn't different at all. Abuse is abuse. And anyone who would perpetrate these things on a child is a monster.
